Some man called me acting as a police officer, he new personal details, im not sure who it if, does anybody know?

This is brierley hill police station , i know this as my car got broken into and they have just called me off this number and left a voicemail and they left a number to phone back on!!

Come on guys, calm down. This is a police number. They just phoned me from it, and left a message. It was about my recent burgulary. The phone number they left me to call them back on is the 0845 113500 number, so problem solved!

The majority of you guys are complete and utter morons!!! If you are so worried about the bloody number, go to your nearest police station and get them to clear it up face to face, or are you worried that you might be on their "Wanted" list and so are too scared to go and deal with it like a normal human fecking beings!!! For fecks sake, get a life, get a job and learn feckin English!!  Some of your spelling/grammar is atrocious (look it up in a Thesaurus)!!

PS apologies to the 'normal' people on here.  This rant is aimed at the people slagging police off and those who are just plain dumb!

this is defo a police station number

Just took a call after checking here, it was WM Police.
They were checking to see if we were still having any antisocial problems with yobs as I had rang them a few times in the past. It's nice to know they care still. Take the call, it's genuine. Hope this helps.

I got two calls fromunknown numbers this morning I never answered then got on from this number, could hear like a tv in the background no one answer then they just hung up. I know my ex partener got caught in milton keynes with driugs in her car and they took her phone, last week she was charged with assaulting our 8yr old daughter and after made threatening calls to my phone which I reported she was charged with threats to kill. It is scary to know the police do this to people who are innocent of any crime. They could at least aknowledge you and why the secrecy? Isnt this illegal and considering the added stress they put on people isnt it abusive and why do this? someone needs to do something about this, does anyone know why they do this or what purpose it serves?

I will explain again as this matter does not seem to be getting resolved.

The number in question IS A WEST MIDLANDS POLICE NUMBER. It is an outgoing call only number that appears when we call from our telephones at any station.

As it is outgoing only you must call 0345 113 5000 which is the incoming West Midlands Police switchboard number.

I hope this clarifies the issue for you all.

I have a pone call today i not sure how they got my number i live 300 miles away from there and i got a new phone about 2weeks ago .

THIS NUMBA IS DEFFO A WMP NUMBER AS I HAVE A RECENT ONGOING COMPLAINT GOING ON AND THIS IS THE NUMBER THAT SHOWS UP WHEN THE POLICE RING ME WHICH IS QUITE OFTEN SO I KNOW THIS IS A GENUINE NUMBER. THE REASON YOU CANT RING IT BK IS COS THE NUMBER IS USED FOR OUTBOUND CALLS TO ANY FONE THAT REJECTS WITHELD NUMBERS ONLY. ****GENUINE****

I just received a missed call from this number and wanted to check it out before I called back. They just called again and it was west midlands police who were following up on a crime that I recently reported on New Years Eve. It is totally legitimite and it was even the same officer who came out to see me on the day i reported the incident. He was very helpful and simply asked me if everything was okay since the incident and if anything else had happened (which is all part of the service).

I received a call on my old mobile at 08:11, which I could not answer as the battery was so low.

At 08:30 I had a visit from the Police, checking on my wellbeing as I had not been seen for 48 hours.
