Yet another junk call "your time is running out...." about ppi claims? Where do they get my number from? I haven't had a mortage for years. So much for TPS

Beware of pressing 9 - all it does is confirm to the scammers that they've got a live number so they can call you again repeatedly and sell your number on to other scammers. If you're really unlucky, pressing 9 (or 5) sometimes connects you to a premium rate number. Just hang up - or get a Truecall!

The Telephone number is allocated by Magrathea Telecomms [sales@magrathea-telecom.co.uk} along with 2 other numbers that are being used 01618263541 and 01213140999.  They are operated by Serviscomdatos, Calle 100 8A-155 L-155a, Bogota, Colombia 0330 088 0921. I have not rung the 0330 number.  They also have a UK email address reports@phonecomplaints.net but this is operated by Identity Protection Service, Identity Protect Limited, PO Box 795, Godalming, Surrey. GU7 9GA.  Other postings on WhoCallsMe suggest using this email address with result in scam emails.  Magrathea Telecomms are investigating the calls.

Please report these Company's to the ICO and Ofcom - I have to say I am concerned that a UK Telecoms Company can provide UK numbers or a Company without a UK address.

Please note other numbers which are used 01613707219, 01159866763, 01617381501, and 01623963789 but they are not numbers allocated by Magrathea Telecomms

I have read that Identity Protect Limited t/a Identity Protection Service, PO Box 795, Godalming, Surrey. GU7 9GA is a scam operation that registers lots of the scam artists' sites who wish to conceal their true identity from us and the cursory glance of the under-resourced trading standards officer.

Some of these data criminals are complained about on whocallsme. Identity Protect Limited run their own servers with Webfusion, and are linked to crime networks in Germany, London, Manchester , Liverpool and the Midlands.

You will see lots of postings on here telling you NOT complain to the ICO & TPS because they are "useless". Ignore them. Two of the syndicate were recently fined £440,000 by the ICO because of our complaints and this cost the crime syndicate introducer fees.

The frequent "not worth reporting" posts are made by the syndicate to discourage us from contacting the ICO. TPS pass the complaints on to the ICO, so are equally slated.

Report EACH non-compliant call to the ICO. They require evidence to act.

If you see any of the above names or addresses in a whois do NOT deal with the company or website.

Likewise, if Magrathea Telecomms is the callers' telecom provider, avoid them.

At best you will be supporting crime and at worst you will end up being defrauded.

Actually it could be the post office if you have just moved and filled in a form for this.  You have probably notic es other unwanted things arriving like the next catalogue as they also give your address.  I reported this to the ICO b ut they told me they had "made a mistake" a mistake which they apparently make with everyone who says and c an provove they do not want their information circulated!!!!
