- Pat| 1 replyA new number, 11.49am today. No message so f***k em!
- ckm| 1 replycall about "Your time for claiming is running out" I hung up at this point I then wanted to 1471 the call and they were still on the line hung up again and they were still there , waited 5 mins and they were gone ...
such a pain.- Caller: ?
- Peterthis number is based in UK . Beware of 0239 numbers as they are based in USA.
- ResponderThis is a ppi scam I mean help line
- Caller: Ppi helpline
- 01216672481PPI pest. Hung up and tried to do 1471 and they were still on the line.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Donnie Smith| 5 repliescalled me and asked to press numbers to chase up on a claim. hung up. 1471, to check on number, googled it to here - seems i'm not alone! How do these leeches get my number, and more to the point - how do we prevent them from calling back?
- Caller: PPI
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Terry| 1 replyArrived home from work to message after message from this number, on my answer machine. Hit the del button and checked it out on here. I don't understand why the telephone companies don't stop all these unwanted pests, before we all ditch our land lines in favour of our mobiles.
- lunk| 3 repliesIf you wait until they finish their spiel, it says "if you have received this call in error, please press 9"...so I did...we'll see what happens....I hope it means no more calls, from that number, for me.
- FreddoPressed 5 not because I wanted to claim ppi refund but to ask them to remove my number from their list. Spoke to a young girl called Phillipa who was very rude. Dialed 1471 to get the number so I could phone to complain but got a recorded message. The girl had said the call was being recorded - I do hope her supervisors listen to the recording!
- Caller: Don't know
- Fedup in freedonia| 1 reply'Your ppi refund - act now to save thousands &c. &c.'
Pressing 9 to cancel doesn't work - not straightaway anyway - and why is that: isn't it all computerised?
They called me a few days ago so I pressed 9 to cancel, and guess what - they called again a few minutes ago. When I pressed 5 to speak to an operator to talk about this was she even slightly interested? Was she (expletive deleted) - she just put the phone down, rude 'person'!!- Call type: Telemarketer
- HeidiGot a call from this number just now for first time. They left no msg but glad I didn't answer it as it seems to be yet another PPI nuisance call.
- David| 1 replyRecorded message said (something like)... their records show that as I was under 60 I was due a payment of £1000 because of something to do with a pension. Press 5 to initiate payment. There may have been something about time running out; it's all a bit of a blur as, around this point I drifted into a lovely daydream about a giant who loved cheese. Presumably, had my seven year old daughter answered the phone, she would have been feverishly pressing buttons and frothing at the mouth in anticipation at all the Freddo Frogs she would be buying.
Back to the daydream.- Caller: 01216672481
- Jim replies to DavidI had this caller today i had it a couple of weeks ago exactly the same recorded message if you press 5 you will be charged for a premium rate call best to just hang up,It`s a scam,Time these people where brought to justice even with call preference you still get them.
- KenA message received said I was to get £1000 payment, then mentioned a bonus. Had a few calls from these recently, the only bonus would be for them to burn in hell.
- Caller: No name given
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KevSaw number on caller display so didn't answer. They didn't leave a message ! I called them back [using the 141 prefix] to hear a recorded message to say I was called by a sales/marketing company - no company name given.
- Caller: Unknown
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnnaSeems like a new scam. A recorded announcement telling me I was due to receive an extra £1000 on my pension. All I had to do was press 5 and I would be put through to complete the claim. Yeah Right. Sadly I think a lot of elderly people might fall for it

- shadThe above number i have had before a couple of times relates to some claim ref pensions and claiming £1000 pounds benefit which i listen to cos my wife is due to retire soon so I am concerned its to do with her (briefly) but of course It will be some other 'scam' or money company ,on the make. I never ring back or press 9 as I think it will cause more problems or hidden costs for tel use etc. Has anyone else had this type of message?
I am so fed up with these bloody people invading our limited privacy and WHO is passing them on ?
I am careful (I thought about ) giving out numbers Anywhere !?
Wish I had the time and knowledge to follow up and cause them the grief and time wasting I have experienced at a difficult time as well (when I am waiting for v.imp calls from family etc)
Is this a UK call centre number it doesnt look like the usual foreign numbers ??- Caller: ???
- shadI NOW have seen the other messages ! So obviously it is a call centre which deals with a variety of the latest scammy type intrusions as that number has also apparently done the PPI stuff as well.
I will try to see if I can make a list of 'dont answer' numbers on our home phones if they are able (new ones I havent yet 'studied' via handbooks). All this technology just causes more and more problems and time lost LIVING me thinks .....Do they save me time ultimately ? I am not really sure !!
Thanks to above messages...It feels good to express my anger -somewhere and One Day I'll try to get em back !! (When I have got the time !)- Caller: Telemarketer
- peter| 2 repliesrang at 13.10 today say A very Important Message about my pension bonus .I put phone down.
