this number is constantly calling me. In fact I've added it to my blacklist on my smartphone call blocker and I kid you not, I've been rung via that number 8 times in the same evening. It's bloody ridiculous.

Facts International would like to apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused by our call.

All calls made by Facts International are to undertake market research services on behalf of our clients. Accredited by the industry association, the MRS (Market Research Society), all of Facts International’s processes and interviewer techniques are compliant with the MRS code of Conduct and Data Protection Act.

Facts International never make sales calls.

If you've received a call from us it is probably because you're a customer of one of our clients and are listed in the customer database sample they provided to us. Market research services are used by our clients to improve either their products or the quality of their services and by working with companies such as Facts international, they can obtain independent and impartial customer/consumer opinions from which to help them.

If you would like to check our background or speak to someone more about market research, please call the MRS on Freephone 0500 396 999.

If you do not wish to be called by Facts International please tell our interviewer, who will immediately remove your details from our call lists so that you will not be contacted again.

Facts International has been in business for almost 30 years, and is a respected and professional Market Research Agency which operates from its headquarters in Ashford Kent.

Should you wish to speak directly with Facts International please call – 01233 648523 or email enquiries@facts.uk.com

When our clients provide us a sample of their customer base, sometimes customers registered with TPS or those listed as ex-directory are contacted. Under market research regulations, we are allowed to do this as there is no legal requirement to screen market research samples against the TPS. TPS exists to prevent unsolicited sales calls. A market research survey is not a sales call and as we are contacting existing client customers, our call is not considered unsolicited as it is reasonable for most companies to call their customers. It is also important, especially for political polls, to gain a representative view of public opinion by speaking to a broad selection of the population.

Ex-directory status means that a named customer cannot be traced though telephone directories. This does not preclude us from calling an ex directory customer for research purposes. If research companies did not call ex-directory clients then feedback collected would not be truly representative and it is for this reason that ex-directory customers are included in samples provided.

With most calls, Facts International’s interviewers are able to provide details of the organisation on behalf of which they are calling. However, in some instances the client organisation may request that they remain anonymous, which is acceptable under MRS guidelines. An example of this might be when an interviewer introduces themselves as ‘calling on behalf of your bank’ – often an event triggered by a recent branch interaction. It is sometimes important that an interviewer makes sure they are talking to the actual customer of the organisation (e.g. a particular financial services provider) before continuing with the survey as the very fact that a customer has a relationship with a specific organisation may be something they do not wish to reveal to another person answering the phone.

Please note Facts International interviewers will NEVER ask you to handover personal account details and neither the interviewer nor company has access to such details at any time.

Probably Facts; they made mistake of saying it would take 15 - 20 mins at an inconvenient time. Today at breakfast and yesterday at teatime. Quite possibly really about my bank though other banks forewarn me.

Facts International, whether you're a Market Research Company or a spammy, scammy, phishing bunch of crooks makes no odds to the apparently hundreds of people you cold call - and it is Cold Calling - often at inconvenient times. Speaking personally, I have had approximately 800 cold calls in the past 20 months and I am fed up to the back teeth with ANYONE I do not know calling me up. You weaselling your way through the various regulations to justify your unsolicited calling of people cuts no ice with me. You've called me, too, and I won't answer, so don't bother trying to call me again. I'm not at all interested in answering a bunch of questions of behalf of your clients to help them improve their customer service. If I deal with someone and am not satisfied with their service, I will tell them so in my own way at my convenience, not yours or theirs. So just stop making your money on the backs of everyone else's misery, will you, because that's what you're doing. You and all cold-callers out there are simply NOT WANTED and are, by me at least, deeply hated.

It is not cold calling it is tepid calling, your details are given to Facts by YOUR BANK because you either failed to tick that little box that says you don't want their survey calls or you ticked the box that says you do or don't mind. For the bank survey in question the most personal questions are as follows.

Confirm which age bracket you fall into (18-24, 25-34, 35-44 etc)
Your annual salary (option to decline to answer)
Your savings total (option to decline to answer)
Confirm your First name and Surname
    Confirm your postcode

They do not ask for account numbers or anything like that... they will ask "Do have a current account?" in order to ask you questions about how satisfied you are with the service you get from your bank through your current account. This all benefits YOU in the long term and those calling it a scam or phishing are either extremely stupid or have no idea how a business works in the real world. Natwest/RBS need to know what they are doing right and wrong and in order to find out they pay someone outside of their organisation to get IMPARTIAL and UNBIASED FEEDBACK so as not to taint the results.

If you don't want these calls simply ask the interviewer to remove your number and they will do it without fuss or protest it really is not a big deal but ultimately if you don't want these calls then you have to take responsibility and read the fine print on those forms at the bank because unless you say clearly "I don't want these calls please remove me from your database" you will continue to get them.

The staff at Facts are just normal people, often students or single mums trying to make some extra money. They do not deserve to be spoken to like trash or treated like thieves and the comments previous about them being scum are quite frankly ignorant.

TPS service only prevents SALES CALLS, a survey at the request of YOUR BANK is not an unsolicited sales calls. Honestly ... you people say  the callers are the idiots? LOL

It's Natwest/RBS/Coutts plus whoever else is in the RBS group. they want to talk about feedback for private banking / loan application / mortgage or in my case a business account.  the usual sort of thing "on a scale of 1 to 10 were you satisfied or dissatisfied with the professionalism of the person who helped you". i hung on only because i felt sorry for the poor girl - what a miserable job. no private information requested. harmless and polite but tedious. next time i'll not pick up.

Had a call from this number this evening  (120115) Caller stated they were doing a survey and only worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland - Please would I take part in a survey for customer satisfaction. I stated I didn't discuss my bank details on the phone with anyone. I also stated that if I wasn't satisfied I wouldn't keep banking with them.
I have read other comments on calls from this number and although caller stated she only worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland it's obvious this is incorrect.

Ok then, you receive a phone call, they know your name and they want you to engage in a survey. This is nothing more than profile building and the likelihood is that this information will be sold on. Let’s turn the tables and even out the playing field a bit. Here’s a profile on the company associated with the nuisance phone number.

Facts International Ltd is an independent market research agency based in Ashford, Kent. Facts International is part of the Insight and Engagement Division of Chime Communications plc. (Chime is a backing company to entrepreneurs wishing to start their own pioneering business in marketing communications.) History: Facts International sold by Barbara Lee to Chime Communications and private investor Nick Lamb in Feb 2007. Nick Lamb sold his stake in the business to the firm’s parent company Chime Communications for £1.7m in 2011; he currently holds the position of Chairman. The next time you’re pulling your hair out when you receive yet another unsolicited phone call, just remember good old Nick still has a good mop of hair.

Seemingly legitimate market research/survey company (did not catch the name), called our company number for survey on business IT security "on behalf of the Cabinet Office". Too busy to deal with initial call, asked for time to call back, same person on phone second time, survey seemed professional, not a sales call.
