Just had call (which i didn't answer) at 16:11 on 21st October 2008. Saw the strange number and cancelled it straight away. I'm on O2 but as PAYG.

i just had a call from this number and got a automated message saying they were calling from welcome finance and even said my name so is anyone else getting this and got anything to do with welcome finance???????

had this number calling, decided to ignore it.
i'm with o2 and i have nothing to do with welcome finance.
although i'm intrigued as to who this was. i'm glad i didn't answer.
left no message.
i think i know someone who answer the other day. said they were from o2, asked if they liked the phone, then asked if they had insurance.
my friend said no i don't have insurance, and how do i know you're from o2.
they stuttered and said 'well, i'm not from o2'. so the call ended.

got a from this number too 012345678 thats how it showed up on my phone. didnt answer it, but got a voicemail message, started saying "This is a message from welcome...." then cut off. got it @ 17:36. i am on 3 network

just had a call frm tht number 012345678 @ 17.35 im on o2 PAYG the number has left a voicemail but havnt got credit to listen to at it as soon as i top up guys i will post another comment of what it says hope this helps u out a lil x

Hmm its seems I am not alone on this one then
ever since I bought an I phone 3g PAYG  I have been getting calls from this number,and as I think its an unusual number I aint ringing it or answering it.

yeah i think it's when they're chasing money up i got "hello this is a message from welcome finance" and then it went dead :(

my research shows it is a high interest loan company only just on this side of the law from being a loan shark. They specialise in cash loans for bad credit customers and car finance.

Was called by number 012345678 in netherlands ,  provider kpn. Didn't trust it so rejected the call.

Got a call from this number too interesting that it could be O2 as i'm on Vodafone PAYG Did not answer it as was at work.

Hi guys, this number has also just tried to call me at 6.50pm. I am concerned about these kind of numbers. I have had a call once before. Some guy called me once said he was from O2 i am not with o2 tried to sell me a new contract knew my name address, phone number of course!! Then gave me a ref number of "you are a tosser" Plesent.


More concerning. Had a call about 5 months ago. The people saying they where from NET WORK Q brake down service..... network Q dont have one. They guy on the phone knew my name my previous surname my address my last address, My car type colour reg. was saying my car is broken down in scotland but my car was on the drive. he then gave me a ref number of u/r 8/ c0/ck but the number could not be traced by the police.

I had a call yesterday and again this morning.  Called O2 (paymonthly) and they were useless, saying I couldn't block the number from my type of handset and that all they could offer was to change my number.  Bit worried that someone has got more than my phone number from some of the other posts here!
I haven't and won't be calling back, not sure if i should pick up if they call again?  definately won't be giving any personal info out!!

I had a call 6:30 pm. this was on my house phone.I only heard a recording saying "Hello",i quickly looked on the number and hung up because the number looks dodgy plus i dont want anyone running up my bill. I do have a 02 contract but they do not have my house number.

We really need to research this. It is a credit crunch period and there will be a lot of people doing fraud leaving people like me and you in a sticky situation.

got a call from this number tonight.  It left a message on my voicemail.  Call was an automated voice asking me to contact Welcome Finance

got a call at 6:16 today and it was a recorded message saying to call them back on welcome finance or something.. looks like a dodgy number, too short to be one?

have had 2 calls from this number, not answering it or calling it back either. i'm on o2 contract, however my last bill didnt get paid due to changing bank accounts, dont know if this is relevant or not??
