1471 revealed this number and after enquiring about it myself with a friend, I was told that they are debt collectors.

They are also rude and arrogant if they don't get the information they want.

The way I understand it is that they ring your number trying to trace people that owe money to somebody like EDF for example. The debt might not be your own but may be somebody you know but are not aware that they have an outstanding debt. Some companies share phone records and try and contact people who may know somebody who is on their dialled list for example.

Ignore them, do not answer their questions, if anything keep them on the line for as long as possible because they are paying for the phone call.

This will help syphon their funds for being what I cal, VULTURE's for other peoples debts.

just had 2 calls from this number. i'm o2 PAYG.
i didn't answer as number looked very strange. A bit concerned that O2 seems to be sharing our personal details, surely that's not right!!

Today I had a missed call from this number on my mobile phone in the Netherlands. I called back in five minutes, and I heard that this number doesn't excist. I found something about 'Lowcall' they seem to be a provider inside the Netherlands. I still think it's strange. I called to my provider immediatly and told them the problem. I hope they won't use the phonenumber or whatsoever.

Its a company that deals with company debts.

If you have a debt or somebody who lived in your address before you had a debt then the company actually ringing you is called:

The link above is their website and contact details. They obtain information by deceptive and illegal activities, basically they have links either formal or informal into business databases like BT for one.

Unless you owe money to somebody I would not worry about them.

These are people who have used the 012345678 who used a 012345678 telephone number left behind on BT 1471 last caller redial service.

If u have 012345678 showing up on caller ID, its a call from a Skype phone. If ''callerID'' is not activated the person who you are calling will see ''unknown'' or a random # e.g. 012345678 depending upon the PSTN carrier used to terminate the call.

just got a call from this number also, I didn't answer it and they left no message, I'm on O2 PAYG, does anyone else have further infomation about this number? is it a scam? I won't be phoning back though, just curious!

I just had a call from these, it was Look Again catalogue informing me that an order was delayed, due to popular demand. (An automated message, giving me the option to speak to a supervisor.)

I got this call today, however i'm sure its 02 as my Bill was due on the 15th, but i dont get paid until the 28th. I didn't answer it due to the weird number but yeah i think guys its your mobile operator calling for one reason or another. After I rejected this call about 10 mins later i got another call but this time was No Caller ID. Idk if its the same people or what?

Have been called by this number twice now in as many days, did not answer on both occasions.  I have a rule about not answering numbers I don't know, never mind dodgey looking ones like this. Western Union Money Transfer from Nigeria if you ask me - Don't answer it. If O2 wanted to get in touch with you urgently they would find another means, i.e post or email.  Pain in the [***] all the same, stresses me out when I get calls like that.

We had this today it was from freemans catalogue, and seemed like a real call, just had a message left about an order that had been placed with them.

got a call today at 16.46 hrs.
didnt even rang just a missed call. didnt live any message. strange.

got a call again @ 19.15 hrs. wanted to know who it was i didnt take the risk. i ignored. i think its a skype caller.

I live in France. Home Phone works with Orange provider. No debt. Nothing with them or other company. But I receive several calls (57 since 6 days) from 012345678.
I don't know who they are..... but I'll sure change my phone number and maybe my provider because my phone is not public (private, doesn't appear in phone directory) and I'll keep it secret : submitting to nobody, even administration! ENOUGH!

Interestingly, o2, Vodaphone and Virgin are all really the same network in terms of business. They utilise the same waves etc.

Orange, T-Mobile and Three do the same, but on a different Wavelength.

As 99% of people on here are on o2, Virgin or Vodaphone, it makes sense that some company is targeting their customers.

they phoned me and said they were working on behalf of met police from the fraud team and would send someone to my house, ive never done any fraud in my life and never would. they would not disclose any information and were very aggresive, can anyone help me??????????????
