I am continually being called by a company named UK Research.  My husband and I are over 70 and find it hard to understand the accent of the callers.  When we finally decipher what they are saying we realize that is is a "scam" call.  I have asked every time for them to remove my name from their list  -  but to no avail.
Please can you help.

Got a call from this number this morning who are they and want do they want????

I just had a call from this number, he had a foreign accent and started to say something about my computer. I just hung up as soon as he said it and 1471 to see the number.

had a call from this number claiming that they were from security 24/7 and that my pc is running slow, i doubt that very much as its an overclocked and crazy pc lol, had a discussion with the person which turned into an arguement and when i asked him for a supervisor he laughed at me! then when i kept asking him he said no and hung up lol

Got a call from 0123456789 an indian gentleman was telling me that I had a virus on my PC and he need to connect and help sort it.
Before I gave him a choice few words i asked if he could explain how he knew my PC was infected. He couldn't tell me,  I then stated that it was a load of B@ll@cks and that I have a firewall and virus protection, and guess what he put the phone down

I got a call from 0123456789 at 9.55pm. I recorded message said it was from Fredrikson International, a debt collection agency. I put the phone down. These people are ringing all the time on different numbers. The ones I have under their name are : 02079 981074, 02392 386688, 02087 599577, 02030 608420, 0208 6160016 and 0161 4257485.
I would like to meet one of these people in person !!

Got a call from this number and when you dial 1471 you get a engaged tone.

Who is it and want do they want????

Have just rec'd a call from 0123456789, telling me my windows computer has down loaded a virus. after telling her my husband is an IT engineer she told me to shut up and put the phone down.

yea they rang me with the same rubbish and i hung up on them then they rang back saying we got cut off somehow ...lmao yea i hung up you ''''';;';';';' but yea its a scam

My daughter answered the phone to the number 0123456789. All she got was someone breathing heavy on the line for about 30 seconds before hanging up.

Called telling me that there is something wrong with my computer, there is not.  Put the phone down when I stated I was on TPS.  This number cannot be legitimate surely.

I keep getting calls from this number, I just had one and it was a foreign voice saying he was calling about my computer? I said no thankyou and hung up!!  how can I stop this?  it's driving me crazy!!!

Me too, I have just had the same call ( fror the umpteenth time) I didn't even say anything, just layed the phone down, they soon hung up! I just wish there was a way to block these calls, does anyone have any ideas?......I would also love to know WHY they do it??

our phone line went off last thursday,BT LINE.ireported this to BT.5days later i got a call from BT who said i should ring 150 to claim compensation
2 hours later an "indian" guy phoned and asked if we had probs with the phone line and said it was our computer that was at fault and wanted to do some virus checks.I asked if he was BT but he said he was with mpl in manchester,.i called him a scam artist and he said i could check out his company and phone number.i told him not to phone again.
I think some one  at a BT callcentre in India has contacted their buddys somewhere and tried to play out this scam.whether the phone line fault was genuine i dont know,but i didnt see a BT engineer working on the telegraph pole just outside my house.

Got a phone call,  from some "George" with a asian accent, telling me my pc was infected..

Told them to Feck Off!!!!!!!!!!!!
