Same as everyone else posted on this site - I keep getting calls on my mobile sometimes up to 8 times a day - occasions up to 3 in an hour - getting tired of it and because the number looks dodgy and you hear so many times of people scammed and being charged exorbitant amounts for calls they answered from strange numbers I absolutely refuse to pick this up. Now this has been going on for some weeks followed by many calls from 'private number' not long after the 0123456789 - Has anyone been fortunate to finger exactly who this company/person is? Or could it be several companies all using Skype ringing us all in turn? I'd be delighted if anyone could shed any light on these nuisance callers!!

Sick of this now! Every day 3 times a day, same number, same silence! O2 say report it to the police who will in turn prob advise I change my number! Anyone got any advice better than this????

Every day these mo-fo's call to tell me that i have a problem with my computor and they need me to run through some tests with them. I wonder how many ppl actualy sit down and comply with these slags requests, my advise would be to not pick it up, as your provider may charge you for that. It's an overseas scam and they are using skype phone's to cover there [***]'s. I'm bored with telling them to fu-- -ff so i let it ring. If we all do that hopefully they will get fed up and wont call no more..Peace Out..

I keep getting these calls like 8times a day :S i didnt pick up, what do i do? how so i stop them ringing me?

got called from this number , indian accent woman trying to say theres problem with windows seven and harmfull virusescould ruin my hard drive. she wanted to guide me how to fix problem over the phone but i said i didnt need her help. she insisted i did i insisted i didnt. She then put the phone down.

Got a call - i think this is a Skpe number - so probably overseas. The caller (asian accent) was offering comp for an accident I had. (I dont know anything about an accident!!)

When I asked questions she went into to 'I do not understand English' mode and eventually she just gave up and went on to , I guess, hassle some other poor mug and try to get him/her to part with private info.

I had the call someone in your house has had an accident. I said no one has. They kept on so I asked who it was. They said it was my grandmother.  I said it couldn't be my grandmother cause she would be nearly 200 if she were still alive. They said it must be someone else then.  I said oh yes it was a tragic accident one of my goldfish jumped out of our pond and died, They hung up. Haven't had that call since.

I had a call from this number just this afternoon, I didn't realise it was skype but it was certainly a scam.

The company claimed to be 24/7 Secure, and he was calling me about my computer. I told him I wasn't interested and to delete my details from his database, he refused, which was quite funny!

He then continued to say there was a problem with my computer, I said there wasn't. His response was "How do you know, are you a God?"

He's probably hoping to prey on non computer savvy people and ask them to visit some phishing site or other. Funniest conversation ever!

Dont be a moron - you can't go putting people's personal data out there like that.
Loads of company's use this number, its Skype!!
Dont pick the phone up full stop.
It will stop eventually

I have had 3 calls now from a person who says they work for a company in Manchester called Windows 24/7 security and they have found a virus on my computer which could shut it down for good.He then (In very broken English) asked me to turn my computer on, I got the feeling that this call wasn't quite right so I asked where did he get my number and he said It was supplied to them when my computer was purchased.I am so glad I found this site as these people should be stopped from making a complete  nuisance of themselves.

0123456789 called me once on wednesday the 29/06/2011. 6 times on Thursday 30/06/2011, 11 on the Friday the 1st of July.

Every time they call they hang up just as I answer. Luckily for me I'm not in debt but I would be if I kept calling them back!!!

Can I take legal action?

Had strange call from this numer saying they believe my computer was infected,they said they would like to got through my computer with me.

Just had a call from this number rang off just as I picked up. Ten seconds ish later called again asked me if I was Mrs Brooks or something like that, didn't hear the first time so answered him with the same name. I then said no he asked again I said no. He then told me to f@$k off.
Sounded like he was of ethnic origin.

been called numerous times from this number. Got fed up with the [***] on the end of the phone trying to sell me some crap I didn't want/need/know anything about. I guessed he/she/it was from overseas... another rancidmingepatel.... hung up.... still they call... [***]

Just had a call from that company 24/7 Computer Services [or something like that] saying they were acting in association with Microsoft Computers. He asked me to go in to 'My Computer' and do some stuff because my computer had been infected by a virus from the internet. I didn't do what he said but kept him talking for 20 mins, asking him to convince me that his was a genuine company - he couldn't convince me and I said I wasn't interested. I checked 1471 and it said the phone number was 0123456789.

I am continually being called by a company named UK Research.  My husband and I are over 70 and find it hard to understand the accent of the callers.  When we finally decipher what they are saying we realize that is is a "scam" call.  I have asked every time for them to remove my name from their list  -  but to no avail.
Please can you help.
