Got the same letter today, Universal consulting ltd, Victoria house, 1 Gloucester Rd, Cheltenham, GL51 8LN re National surveys. Leeds number 01133350294, with gifts exceed £12400. Binned it.

as above, i am in leeds and got the identical letter with same number. i think the local press would like to hear about this.i just worry about little old ladies receiving these letters.

Got same scam...I actually phoned them knowing it was a scam to see what it is they were up to.

They said come down to the Powerhouse gym and you can pick an envelope..where u can win a sunbed session or gym membership.

I said I don't want to be orange with skin cancer and I don't want to work out.

Buy ya it's a scam....in in Havant by the way.

received one for the dover number but ended up in the bin. Thanks to everyone for advice...

The address is a dud.
It doesn't exist.
The address and post code don't match up.
There is one similar, but it's not this one.

Just bin it.....
Anything that sounds too good to be true, normally is.

Yes, same as all the above I'm in Leeds too,got the same letter from Cheltenham,on Sept 23rd. the house next door has been empty for nearly 2 years and it also had the pleasure of the same SCAM. BIN THEM!

Looks like they are still hitting the Kent Area.  Got a slip through this morning with a Dover number.  It's going straight in the bin!

Just to let everyone know, exactly same format recieved this morning, bla bla bla, Local Leeds number does get you thinking though ! I agree.... BIN IT !

got one through this morning but didnt read here first! They asked my name but i only said mrs.... i didnt give any other details. The lady on the other end said i had to go to powerhouse where i could pick a prize!

I am tempted to go and find out for myself to see if it is!

Update...i have just phoned powerhouse gym to actually see if it is a scam and its not so i will go tomorrow and find out what i have won! something tells me though that it wont be something for nothing!

Just openend my mail, had a "with compliments" slip from "universal consulting" trading as "national surveys"

clever because the number is a leeds number (I live in Leeds) but have had too many calls from 02079253600 to be fooled

Yes I got one this morning with the 01513350095 number saying I too had won. Nothing in this life is for free so bin it and at least we will be helping with recycling the #rap they have paid to send us.

Just received this and I am in the Portsmouth area.  The phone number they wanted me to call is 02392 990218.  Fortunately was suspicious from the beginning as they didnt put my surname on the letter, just my address and so have binned it.

Called the number and got offered a prize at a local gym. so I called the gym and they said to come down and get my prize.

Don't know if i'll bother yet

Green 'Congratulatons' slip arrive in envelope addresses to MR/MRS..... gave local No to Portsmouth so makes some people thing it must be 'OK' - 02392 990218 call M-F 9-6. Handwritten ref no you must quote to get your prize arrived today & expires on 5th Oct 09.(donated by local buniness total value exceed £12,400)
I Didnt call it as clearly a scam of some sort if you get one do the same.... May be targetting Portsmouth, Havant, Chichester areas in early Oct

Also got the "Congratulations - total value of gifts exceed  £12,400" with a Dover phone number. I've binned it, but worry about vulnerable people, especially those with no internet access, who may be conned.

Got one myself today - looks really good and believeable
Do what I always do with junk mail - either mark it return to sender and put it back in the post box, or if you have already opened it without realising, put it all back into another envelope, address it to the company that has sent it;  Mark the envelope 1st class, but don't put a stamp on it - then post it.  When they receive it they have to pay the postage and a £1 surcharge, without knowing what the letter is until after they have paid !!!!  Better still, put it into a large envelope, then it costs them more - oh happy days......
