They appear to be doing the Wearside Area as the telephone number is a Wearside exchange as follows:

Got slip through the week - phone number to call 01242 695001.  I live in Fife.

so this scam how do the people sending out these slips profit by it

i got one today in fife, they are all over in the uk its tottely SCAM

yup i called that number and they give me the check worth 12,400 pounds that i won hahahahahah hohohohohoh

got one today, exactly the same as mentioned. so they are doing it in west midlands now. goes in the bin.

i got one this morning universal consulting blah blah blah did any one else have a row of numbers underneath their postcode, what do they mean?

MY "Congratulations" voucher came in the post addressed to "Mrs/Ms" but with no full name, or even indication of my surname, even though the full address was correct. This made me suspicious long before I opened the envelope.
The voucher has a hand written number on it, and if I called 01383-770023 (local number), I would be given a confirmation number. It also states that this nmber has drawn one of the free gifts donated by local business. The total value of gifts exceed £12,400. It has an expiry date stamped on it in red ink.
The voucher is issued by Universal Consulting Ltd t/a National Surveys Victoria House 1 Gloucester Road Cheltenham Gloucestershire GL51 8LN.
I have not made that phone call, and nor do I ever intend to. Isn't it amazing that they randomly selected my details from valid post codes, yet were totally unaware of my gender or my full name. It is a dangerous world that we exist in when our personal details are placed at risk by companies able to purchase address lists freely available on demand!

Hi, I've just received a letter today, giving me just 4hrs to contact them. Thought I would just check the company out first, so here I am !

Recieved a call today from 01242695001 and as soon as I answered it, someone put
the phone down. If you call them they will always have their operatives busy
and will keep you hanging on forever. So, if you are calling them from a mobile
or land line, who knows what you maybe getting charged. I called BT and they were satisfied
it was a UK number but could not trace anything else.

i received a call today from a man called peter asking if i waas interested in joining the butlers health club.im a shy old lady of 90 years of age and cant handle all these silly calls.i think i might just end it...........

I've received several calls from 01242 695 001 and they always hang-up on conection. I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service so I know that when I do receive a call like this then it's from a dodgy company or individual.

I used to work for them its a set up of about 15 people in a room, each person PRETENDS to act like they have the BEST NEWS EVER TO TELL YOU haha, They are reading from a SINGLE SHEET OF PAPER which they read to you.

What makes me laugh haha is that they act like they all have computers in frount of them...
"ALL THEY HAVE IS A SHEET OF PAPER AND THEY READ IT TOO YOU" but they make it out like they have a computer WHICH NOT ONE PERSON HAS :)

They are told to stick to the script but if a customer questions them then they can either lie or pass you on too other people (((NEVER THE MANAGER)))

If you go to the gym they will trap you on a two or 3 years contract, NOTHING IS FREE AND ITS A BIG SCAM, THEY GET PAID FOR PEOPLE THEY SIGN UP TO GYMS....

If you get the slip through the post again (((((REPORT THEM TO TRADEING STANDARDS))))) Ring the tax office and ask them to check them out... also RING UP CHELTENHAM "echo office" which is cheltenhams newspaper, they will do a right up on it and people will start looking into them more. Also TAKE NOTE OF THE GYM and tell the gym you are holding them responsible and REPORT THEM IN YOUR LOCAL NEWS PAPER... make a example out of the gym and [***] their company up with bad feed back sooo everyone can see they are rip offs... put the gym out of trade lol
