Aims Projects Ltd trading as  AIMS Review and PPI Helpline is being investigated by the Claims Management Regulator under regulation 35 of The Compensation (Claims Management Services) Regulations 2006.

Breaches by authorised persons of condition: requirement to provide information etc

36.  (1)  For the purpose of making a decision under regulation 35, the Regulator may require an authorised person to give the Regulator information or documents relevant to the decision.
(2) The requirement must be by notice in writing.
(3) Such a notice—
(a)must specify or describe the information or documents to be given to the Regulator; and .
(b)must specify the place at which, and the period within which, the information or documents are to be given to the Regulator; and .
(c)may specify the form in which the information or a document is to be given. .
(4) If such a notice specifies that information or a document is to be given in a particular form, it has not been complied with until the information or document is given in that form.
(5) The period specified must be a period that is, in all the circumstances, reasonable.
(6) The Regulator may allow more time for the information or documents to be provided if—
(a)the person required to give the information or documents so requests in writing; and .
(b)the Regulator is satisfied that, in the circumstances, it is reasonable to allow the extra time. .
(7) Nothing in this regulation authorises a search of any premises

This is Costa del Sol, Spain. Corruption is rife here. A pay off to someone will keep thing rolling !

They are still not on the Enforcement listing, which was last updated 20-Nov-13. Any more tips?

The list outlines recent actions on the MOJ website under the Claim Management section. The status shows what companies have been investigated.

Several of the AIMS companies are listed with the Blackburn address including AIMS Reclaim who pass documents to AIMS Review. Are they still there? Where do the directors live?.

They are now using their MOJ number for the offices in Spain. Blackburn is a bogus set up now. Everything is directed from Spain, Costa de la Crime. If you have been mis led by the entire AIMS brand, report them directly to the MOJ & CMR. Your reports will make a difference. Both departments are well aware of the AIMS brand name.

Rumor here has it that they are moving their operation to South Africa. Maybe it's getting a little to difficult here in Spain !

Thank-you for this information, so informative it is of great importance. They are legging it to SA, because the net is closing in on them!! Can't use their MOJ UK # in SA. Plus the entire sham of AIMS brand is doomed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have scaled things down here considerably. They have let a lot of employees go.  Their Pension section Yardstick Marketing has gone from about 5 decks of 14  people per deck to 1 Deck !!  They are no longer doing PPI as I understand it but they are doing Insurance, utility switching and a few other things. Hope this is helping.

My mother has been having problems with AIMS Reclaim, so I've been looking the company up to ensure they are legit, and I saw this thread. Apparently, she already had a PPI claim case with them for a loan, which amounted to £900 in fees. After that she absolutely does not want anything to do with them. However, the house is still being constantly barraged by cold calls from AIMS Reclaim, and they have been sending her a bunch of paperwork for yet ANOTHER PPI case on her credit card. I advised her to cancel asap. After sending a letter of cancellation, she received a letter from AIMS Reclaim stating that she actually has THREE open cases. And that there is a £60 cancellation fee per case. Luckily she didn't sign a Contingency Fee agreement for one, but unfortunately, she has for the rest, so I don't think there's much we can do but pay. My mother has changed her bank information very recently specifically due to AIMS. And to think that the NHS actually recommended this company.

As for the phone number in question (01254 454012), I'm not sure if this is the number that's been calling the house everyday since the receiver only says "Out of Area", making it impossible to block.

I would like some advice on how to forward with this. Thank you.

Most insightful. But what is the bogus setup at Blackburn. Spain and now potentially South Africa. Is it because AIMS International went into liquidation and owe millions? All so insightful.

I will try to find out more info as I still know people that work there, although as I mentioned they have scaled down.

There is also a very nasty guy called Jon James (if that's his real name) over in South Africa apparently setting things up.

I'm sure you have realized by now that the office in Blackburn is a virtual office and doesn't really exist.  

They have a system called Voice Burst.  They have an automatic dialing system press 5 to go through or O if your not interested. It doesn't matter which button you press you go through to them anyway.
The people that answer this then pass your details to another person sitting on the same deck who call you straight back and that's when the [***] starts. When they call you and you say no and asked to be removed from their list, they give you lip service and still continue to hound you.  Unfortunately they prey on the elderly and hard up people luring them with a payoff.  As far as the pension section is concerned, I believe they are now doing that themselves and not using an FSA regulated company.  So you won't find out your pension pot is gone for a few years until you retire. The whole thing is a scam. At first they were called Forensic Review, headed up by Jon James. They userd a company called Sustainable Growth who were farming some plant in places like Vietnam etc. Sustainable Growth (directors name was Zog believe it or not) ran off with everyone's money so they then moved on to another company (Can't remember the name) got rid of them and then changed their name to Yardstick Marketing and decided to invest the pensions in house or should I say in the directors pockets.  They then send out an LOA (letter of authorization). This gives them permission to speak to your pension provider and move the money.

Unfortunately this is the Costa del [***] but it's like a gold fish bowl here and word spreads.  People tend to come here and reinvent themselves and screw up other peoples lives. I left when I found out what was going on there. Some of us need to be able to put our heads on our pillows at night knowing they're not conning people !

Go get them, they deserve to be locked up !!

What is located at the Blackburn office, AIMS legal? How do AIMS Legal fit into this scam.When is that shutting down? Who runs the scam from there? How come they can utilise a MOJ licence and have assigned all contact for AIMS RECLAIM/REVIEW to Spain. Isn't this illegal under the MOJ T&C's? A swift reply would be most appreciated. Michelle Clarke is the Director and runs AIMS Legal Ltd trading as AIMS Reclaim where all the PPI claims are actually processed. Adam Bennetts father also runs it but as he's a disqualified Director his name doesnt appear anywhere. I think they confuse the issue between AIMS Reclaim and AIMS Review so that when you pay the VAT on the invoices they dont actually hand that over to HMRC. I really dont know why the authorities dont act. They also ran a scam with AIMS International from Blackburn see the trial notes I posted earlier.

Beggars Belief that they are still operating.
