I HAVE HAD SEVERAL CALLS FROM 01214690035. A LADY SAID IT WAS A VERY URGENT CALL TO TELL ME I HAD A REFUND DUE FROM CREDIT CARDS OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS.THEY CALLED THEMSELVES A.I.M.S.REVIEW. THIS TIME I DECIDED TO TEST IT OUT AND WAS PUT ON TO A LADY NAMED KIRSTY WHO TOLD ME I HAD A REFUND DUE OF £2400 BUT I HAD TO PAY £299 UP FRONT. THATS WHEN I BECAME SUSPICIOUS AND TOLD HER I WASN'T INTERESTED. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM THAT SHOULD BE STOPPED. ITS MALICIOUS AND CRUEL TO CON OLD PEOPLE OUT OF MUCH NEEDED MONEY - I AM 80 YEARS OF AGE. TO ANYONE WHO GETS THESE CALLS JUST PUT THE PHONE DOWN, ITS DEFINITELY  A CASE WHERE "IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE- IT IS!!"

I was approached by AIMS for PPI.  I was in a terrible state financially and mentally and after a long talk gave 2 x £125 for them to get me PPI or I would get my money back. Same as above happened £250 for a membership you don't need and also they got me to change my Home and Contents Insurance for a cheaper price. I called them within a week to cancel as I didn't want to go through the commotion of cancelling the odd for a couple of quid. The lady told me ok she would cancel the insurance - 8 months down the line I had dual insurance and they have taken £40 x 8. Got in touch with these who told me I had to show my other Insurance details before they would consider giving me my rebate. Does anyone know who I can get in touch with to help. £320 and £250 is a lot of money to me??

My mother has just been scammed by these people. Apparently they take the 'my grandmother is in the same boat as you, and if you pay us £150 then we can start your claim, my grandmother got XXX pounds back...!'

We were recently conned by these B-------. They had contacted my husband re PPI, After a lengthy phone call in another room, my Husband seemed quite pleased with the outcome of the call. A person named Jayne Clark had told him he would be entitled to £2,500. Later that night when my Husband had gone out she phoned again saying to get things started, she needed an account number. Stupidly I gave her my direct debit number. She even passed a comment on what a good xmas we would have. I had a VERY HEATED phone call with them and told them I will move heaven n earth to get to them. They promptly sent me a complaint form which I have sent back with an ultimatum that if the £250 is not back in my account very soon, then they will be sorry,

How can these people carry on getting away with conning over and over again. Maybe if we all got together outside their offices ( IF THEY EXIST ) with TV and other media, maybe attention would be brought to the plight of ordinary people who have been cruelly screwed by these people. They haven"t even got the GUTS to speak to the people who have phone numbers asking to speak to them.

I totally agree. They have offices in Blackburn and Spain. Like I keep telling everyone make a difference and report them to the Ministry of Justice. If you look at the Claims Regulation website it is a condition of their licence that they do not take monies or card numbers upfront on the first telephone call!. Make a difference

Received a call from Victoria Benjamin at Aims Review.  She said I was due over £5,000 in PPI.  They would take 25%.  At the end of the call she mentioned a £299 'joining' fee which I declined to pay although she wanted to take it straight away, saying PPI compensation could be withdrawn at any time.  I asked for their offer in writing before I made a decision.
Are there any legitimate claim companies around for those of us who may want to find out if we are eligible for compensation but don't have time to do it ourselves and don't mind paying for the service.

mmmmmm......you see the positive reviews that turn out to be bogus have very similar characteristics....bad punctuation, bad grammar and capital letters where they shouldn't be. I also wonder if the author was unable to locate the '£' key on their keyboard. I'm not convinced, I have to say

I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, but she must have spent a lot of money to get her compensation, when it needn't have cost her a penny! There are a lot of free consumer organsiation based we forms around like Which Magazines: http://www.which.co.uk/campaigns/personal-fin ... ign/claim-back/
