I just had a call from them, i didnt answer, put the phone number in google and hey presto!!!

Thank god for the internet hey!
I wont be answering them and i have text all my family and friends warning them of the number.

I just dont know how they got my number as ive not done any surveys etc..

I to have been plagued by 01268557600 calls.

Got called on landline by someone asking for me by the name my friends use. Who passes this stuff on?

Just googled the number as had a missed call and found this site! Will not answer phone in future.

Why do these people keep calling me I dont even know who they are and it doesnt go down very well because I am at work.

Just got a call from these guys (London accented woman) claiming I entered a competition at myoffers.com, and told me to "correct me if I'm wrong at any time" and that I had put "that you and your partner are between 25 - 30".

Not true at all and I certainly don't remember filling the competition form out for a holiday "some time ago".

I told her she was incorrect and she replied "Ok, I'll get that corrected for you, thank you for your time".

Perhaps you need to be over 25 before they start scamming you for a timeshare? That would be my tip to everyone anyway: "I'm 21!".

Yup, just missed a call from this number - no clue who it was until I returned here to search for the number.  What I don't understand is, how are they able to call from a number you can't call back?  Surely ICSTIS/OfTEL rules govern how these people should operate, and falsifying a presentation number is a bit naughty.

Anyways, all clued up from the comments here, next time they call, as I'm sure they will, they'll get some choice words from me.

Thankfully I missed this call when it came through, but am glad I did a search for it... I don't know anyone with this phone code. I would be interested to know how I got this number.

I might just answer the next call... just to give them a bit of a rude awakening!

I just got a call on my mobile from this number too, missed the call as mobile reception is very poor where i live, so was running round the house to get a good recpetion, by the time i went to answer the call they had hung up and so far i havent had a message to inform me they have left an answer machine message. So i went online to search for the phone number as I am very nosey like that and have come to this page ........... I am so glad to have found this page and I am so glad people are reporting these things online as it really does prove to be very helpful to others which are unaware of these people / companies trying to pester people like this. Been getting calls on my mobile about twice a day from this number. Have no idea what it's about because I don't recognise the number and they never leave a message. I think thissomething odd if the caller won't leave a message so I never return missed calls where I don't recognise the number and there's no message left.

I have a simple solution to these - go out and buy a cheap whistle and as soon as you see the number appear again answer it and give a mightly blow of the whistle down the line (might want to cover your own ears though).

The following phone number 01268557600 has been ringing me for the past week or so. As i didnt recognise the number I didnt bother answering it.I thought if its important they will leave a message. I have never had a voice mail just a lot of missed calls.

I have just typed the number into google and can see that I am not the only one who has been bugged by this number.

Beware at Mahon airport in Menorca, we were waiting for our Flight home when we were approached by a flustered english lady with a clipboard. I felt sorry for her as I normally say no to questionnaires as they annoy the hell out of me and waste my time, but she seemed desperate and promised it would only take a couple of minutes and we would be entered into a holiday prize draw. Yippee I thought.

I so wish i hadn't answered any of her questions what a complete waste of time, i should have stuck to my guns and said a polite No thank you.

I hope they stop calling me and get the hint that I'm not interested.

just recieved a call telling me ive won a holiday blah blah blah. they are now using information gathered on the web surveys. same empty promises.

My wife answered a questionnaire on line and since then we have received nurmerous calls from this number 01268 557 600.
They called late evening and asked for my wife, i asked for their details as she was at work but they refused, i explained how they may have got our number and asked to be taken off their list and not to call again.
The male on the line wouldn't take no for an answer and refused to give his name, the company he worked for or even let me speak to his supervisor.
I informed him that i am a Police Officer and that he was requiried to give me some basic details or at least pass me to a supervisor.
He flat out refused and chuckled saying he would call back until he spoke to my wife.
I told him what a loser he was, annoying menbers of the public at all hours and that if he called again i would record the calls as mallicious communications.
He soon hung up!!
The number is useless to call but thanks to this site i can now carry out some research and give them a taste of their own!!

They called me today, said they were a hotel company CLC and asked if I had filled in a lifestyle survey in the last 12 months. I said I could not remember.  They had my details so I was not too suspicious.

They wanted to confirm a few of my answers - they gave my salary range, household size and housing situation. I corrected them on the housing situation. Then they said thank you and the call was finished.

Now I wonder if this is linked to the 2 calls from +8009524866

Ha! Now I know why they hang up when they hear I was not a home owner!

Just had call from annoying girl full of the joys of spring informing me of my good fortune.
I had been selected to win an amazing holiday,WOW how lucky I am.
What do these people take you for?
"Who do you represent" I asked,not a very taxing question,unfortunately it was too hard a question for the girl on the other end to answer.
The number is from my area,01268 bing Basildon,Essex.
Next e-mail is going to watchdog.
Mind the old biddy at Mahon Airport,she's the one that got my number!!!

I've been receiving calls from this number for the past few week, all to my mobile and I've never answered it as I didn't know who it was.

I've just Googled it and found this website, so phoned their 0800 number so ask to be taken off their list.  I was informed by an incredibly rude lady that I'd filled a survey in so it was my fault I was getting endless phone calls - when I pointed out that I had filled a survey in but had ticked the 'do not contact me via phone' and 'do not contact me via email' boxes, she told me that they meant nothing and that if I'd filled in the form then that was permission to contact me!  I told her that was rubbish but she was insistent it meant they had rights to contact me, despite me specifically ticking the 'no' box.
