01273 384548 & now updated alt number of 0800 121 8 148  - I have been bombarded with calls from these numbers recently, on my mobile - but have not answered any of them as they are not recognised in my mobile phone, which is used for work related emergencies - and all people/companies who legitimally have my emergency number are entered into my mobile.  So I have no idea how 'they' got my number, as my mobile number has never been entered on any website, internet site, etc.  I can only assume, that a large organisation, who also have this private emergency number, eg- my bank, electricity supplier, and obviously phone supplier, etc, have 'sold' this number on a marketing list somewhere along the line. I am furious!

Keep getting called by this number when I answer nothing just a dead line. I hang up and call back but akwsys engaged

Had missed calls on my office PC telephone communicator number and not land line or mobile from +441273384548, and have been worrying that it is work related, as dealing with important issues involving other locations. At least I know now that it is time waster's, but still annoying!

I had a missed call from this number yesterday & as I didn't recognise it I googled the area code - don't know anyone in Brighton - then googled the whole number & found this site. I live in Ireland & my number is an irish mobile! I had another call the morning & answered it - they asked for my husband & said it was to do with his sky account. I told them that this was my number & not my husbands. I then hung up. I called sky this  evening & was told that it wasn't them & that there is nothing wrong with the sky account. I'm hoping that they ring back, but only so I can find out how on earth they got my number & ask them not to ring me again!!

I'm in Ireland too and had a missed call from the same number this morning. It just said Brighton under the number. I'm going to try and contact the data commissioners and my mobile provider before this becomes a regular call from them. I dont think they're allowed to cold call on mobile phones without prior consent, I'm not 100% sure though. Glad I found this site.

Why would a company call claiming to be a company who has its own contact centres?? It sounds like fraudsters phishing for info

I GET CALLS EVERY DAY SOMETIMES TWICE A DAY.  I HAVE AN ANSWER PHONE SO I ONLY PICK WHEN  CALLERS LEAVE A MESSAGE.  NO ONE EVER SPEAKS FROM THIS NUMBER.  I DO NOT KNOW THE COMPANY NAME OR TOWN OR COUNTRY WHERE THEY COME FROM.  I AM REALLY ANGRY WITH THESE CONTINUAL PHONE CALLS.  SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE TO STOP IT.  IT IS HARRASMENT.

The caller from this number said he was from Domestic & General to renew a warranty

Eight calls over two days, bloody nuisance, same as everyone else, engaged vwhen you call back.  Was at work when called so ansa phone picked it up but no message left!!!

I am in Bali and will be for several weeks, yet I get these calls 3 times a day, they must realise that the number is  outside of UK by the ring tone. If I answered goodness knows how much it will cost me!

Keep getting missed calls everyday. No voicemail left just text to say I have missed the call.
Ive just blocked it as if it was important they would leave a message or send a letter
