Keep getting these to my mobile, two or three times a day, missed calls, they leave no message.

They told me they are from barclays and then he said 'there is no problem' and i said 'with what' and then he said he had to terminate the call due to the language barrier!! WHAT????

This number keeps ringing my house but everytimei pick up the phone gets cut off. When i ring back it is engaged. I would really like to know who is ringing as it is bugging me a lot! If anyone knows plz let me know!

Same here! I've had both numbers today the 0800 one is a silent caller and the other one I answered before and they wanted to speak to my partner (who used to have a barclaycard)  That has to be the link. They asked when they could call back - I told them not to bother and they are still ringing!  AARRGH!!

Have Recevied calsl from this number for the past 4 days, ever since I arrived in China for work. Have just tried the number back 3 times and constantly engaged. I don't recognise the number at all!!??

I have had 2 calls today from this number, try to call back and it is constantly engaged. If if it barclays, then what department and why be so rude and not speak when you answer???

Just missed a call from this number too.  They woke the baby up in the process too. Grrrrr.

Better blooming well not be Barclays/Barclaycard.  We don't have any accounts with them, nor would I ever (used to a long time ago, they are sh*te).  If they call back I shall be telling them where to stick it (especially as we are on TPS).

Were barclays trying to sell you something?

They called again this afternoon.  Answered it this time, was asking for my husband.  I said he was at work and she said "ok we'll try again another time", so obviously nothing urgent!

I think next time I'll just tell them they've got the wrong number, if they always phone during the day he is always gonna be at work.

So glad i am not the only one They keep calling on my old number, so when i swtich it on to check for messages and such i have at least one missed call from them a day. no voicemaiols. frustrating. also with Barlcays. glad someone said that person on the phone told them 'there is no problem' - i personally am sure there isn't :)

p.s. when call back it is engaged!

Conclusion - load of rubbish!!

Tried all evening to call this no but always engaged. Not the best thing when you are abroad waiting for a call from UK.

I had 2 missed calls from 01273384548 today which I didn't answer and then a call from 08001218141 later which I did. They said they were from Barclays offering accident insurance policies.

Got a call from them every day for past 10 days. When I call bach it's always engage

I have also had missed calls on the same day from 08001218141 & 01273384548 and it's July reading from others comments dated in mar/apr it seems that Barclays are still marketing

Not a single clue who are they? i got another missed call from this number => 01709763840. it went on my voice mail but they dont even leave a message.

Been getting calls from these jokers the past few days... 01273 384548 , and later 0800 121 8141...

Pushily asking me for personal, "confirmation" details... then she got moody, stroppy... and hung up. Stalinist "Sales" script only.

Some sales pitch from such a "Reputable" company!

Very, very Phishy- conditioning respondees/clients to divulge ANY unsolicited details (even name) is AGAINST THEIR OWN POLICY, and THAT OF THE BANKING SYSTEM.

Inexcusably so, from Barclays (It is, unfortunately...I checked)

THerefore, the Barclays client/answerer is seting themselves up as either being

1) a future potential victim,

(So, if TSHTF, "Ha", says B.Bank-"We told you not to divulge information...")

or is up for
2) An event that provokes a timewasting Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt (FUD) reaction regarding establishing the provenance of the call.
(I call it abusive-manipulative by any other name)

IMO the identification step is totally UNECESSARY, and is WORRYSOME.
Selling me something...? then SAY IT & SELL IT!

30 mins later...Barclays DO seem think that they're theirs... nice of them to list it as such... or, for that matter, to be so enthralled with their shoddy produce that the only places I can google up details of these numbers can ONLY be FOUND ON SITES LIKE THESE

But... it begs the question regarding the tickbox when the account was opened regarding words to the effect of

"Don't call me unless it's an EMERGENCY"

...and definitely "NO MARKETING"!

I answered 08001218141 and they said it was a promotion from Barclays! I was not interested but they keep calling every day. When my phone is off 01273384548 comes by txt as a missed call, so I presume it's them! Quite annoying...

calls you, then is constantly engaged. i know it's a brighton number. . . . that's about it!
