Had a call from this number. They claimed to be from Lloyds Tsb but couldnt find my details. The call centre worker then asked for all my personnel details, I laughed and told them to do one.

Rang Lloyds Tsb and they said that it is the number for tha card collection service. But I dont have a credit card! If this is a Lloyds department i would suggest you dont deal with them and ring the bank direct.

I have received a call from a women tonight claiming to be from Lloyds TSB and wanted me to confirm my personal details. When I wouldnt give out these details, she said I suggest you go in to your local branch, but gave me the number of 0845 6006393. When I rang this number it didnt ask me any security questions and when they answered the asked my my personal questions. I hung up called Lloyds who dont reconise the number. I looked at my call list and it showed 01273 743574.

Lloyds TSB collections Centre, we are £5 over our overdraft for 3 days till pay day, they have called 4 times a day, and can not even get our surname right, I have to say if it wasn't for the fact that banks are tightening their belts we would change to one that uses UK call centres. At least they can speak english and understand local accents.

Said was LTSB about a credit card problem.  BUT I DONT HAVe ONE OF THEIRS.

over the last few days this same number keeps calling my mobile only it only rings twice then hangs up before i can answer, from reading the rest of ur comments this could be Lloyds tsb calling me as i do have problems with my lloyds tsb bank account at the moment and do deal with collections, but y are they onlys ringing twice then hanging up!!??

this is a collection dept from lloyds tsb this number called my workplace and told my colleagues i was in arrears with my credit card which i was not! when i spoke to them they were rude could not speak good english could not understand english.I have reported them to Lloyds and I have told Lloyds about this website hopefuly something will be done.

Jesus people!!  This IS Lloyds TSB.  You're all moaning about "never give out information etc." yet all you had to do was call the number on the back of your card ask ask if they had tried contacting you.  IT'S REALLY NOT VERY DIFFICULT!!

have been reciving these calls saying there is a problem with my account. i rang the number i have personally for my lloyds tsb credit card and i was over my limit.

dont know why they were asking for my bank account number though. wouldnt tell me what department they were either. rang the number and it gives you an 0845 number to ring. rang that and they wouldnt tell me what department they were either. a bit dodgy i think.

I didn't answer it, but listened to the voice mail message.
It was this unintelligible voice which I could only describe as an Indian Robot. He mentioned something about Lloyds TSB.

Im on a debt managemnet programme which Lloyds doesnt seem to know about even though the company thats dealing with my cc debt has informed Lloyds some time ago!There is no communication in between their departments whatsoever.That is some kind of a Indian call centre,they have been harrassing me for a while now,they don't leave voice mail.I have been ignoring them and I will continue.I will also report this to my branch

well i would like to no who is paying for all these call in the long run,i keep getting call but now i decided because i dont no who or what they are and im not going to waste my little money i do have on phoning them back to find out who they are. next time i will answer and scream down the phone after all its what we would do if someone haressed us in a park and so i hope they will get the message that there bugging me and i wont them to bug off lol

I have had my new phone number for 3 weeks and keep getting daily calls for a man who wasnt even the previous tenant.They keep saying they will take the number off their list but I have had several calls since then so they havent .

I have reported them to my local Lloyds TSB and they rung them and were very rude to their own staff! I have put an official complaint in about the harassment they are causing. I suggest the more people that do this the better.

I just had the same, an impatient man claiming to be from LLoyds regarding 'something with one of my accounts' and asking my date of birth. When I queried this he got grumpy and said how do they know who I am also. I was offered an number to call but declined. I have reported it to LLoyds.

IT IS SEEMINGLY GENUINE - spoke to complaints dept at LLoyds for second time and this time they have confirmed that this is their departmemt that deals with overdrawn accounts. So you really do have to endure these rude people sounding like a fraudulent call asking your your info and refusing to tell you why! If they just said 'you are overdrawn' then people would not have been complaining for two years on this web site that it is a fraudfulent call. Its incredible how a big company can wind up all its customers so efficiently. When I rang up LLoyds this morning to look further into this, in there automated telephone system I was asked to give my account number and sort code three seperate times and then got put through to India, who asked ne guess what, my account and sort code! It couldnt be more annoying or inspire less confidence.

i have recieved 8 missed calls on my mobile and two voicemails off this number today only to have them then ring me at work and keep me on the phone for 15minutes! because i was £9.74 overdrawn and they took my deatails because i didntn think anything of it i gave it to them! is this honestly a tsb number?

My golden rule is never give your date of birth to anyone phoning you. (Unless you are expecting the call).

These people get extremely rude if you tell them that.

They say please note my call back number. Well that doesn't verifiy anything if I don't know the number. It isn't a number for LloydsTSB I recognise.

I think the FSA should make it illegal to ask for your date of birth in a old call.

This number is from Lloyds TSB Collections in Brighton.  I have their fax number if you have no luck by phone.  Their fax number is 01273743406.  They also have a collections office here Lloyds TSB, Charlton Place, Andover, Hampshire SP10 1RE. The telephone number for Hampshire collections is 0845 6006392.  Hampshire's fax number is 01264 832478.  If they phone you after repeated requests from you not to call they are in breach of the Administration of Justice Act 1970. In such cases you can report them to Trading Standards or Consumer Direct at www.consumerdirect.gov.uk (you're advised to make a record to prove the date, time and the number itself).

On the other hand if you happen to be in the process of petitioning for bankruptcy then those proceedings should bring the matter to a swift end.
It's always good to know your rights. I am about to go bankrupt and I have a lawyer to advise me of mine.  If you are on Income Based JSA you are entitled to free legal aid.  Lloyds TSB is one of my creditors and they have been a real pain.

Further to my previous mention of the Administration of Justice Act 1970. Here is more information about the act:-

The Act says that a person commits an offence if they make demands for payment which are deliberately meant to alarm, distress or humiliate you, your family or household, with the intention of pressurising a person into paying a debt due under a contract. This includes the frequency, manner or occasion of the demand as well as any threat or publicity that accompanies it. Although Lloyds TSB may claim that it is reasonable to contact you by phone to recover money owed to them, this can be said to be harassment if you have already expressly requested that they do not (for medical reasons for instance).

I hope this information is of help. The information above is from my lawyer in the UK.  Always remember you have rights and people cannot bully you into paying something more than you can afford.  There are always free companies to turn to such as payplan.  Ironically the last thing banks want is for you to go bankrupt but in my experience Lloyds TSB just push and push.  Remember they can eventually issue you with a CCJ which if not complied with can lead to bailiffs.  Please, please seek legal advice if you cannot afford to meet your minimum payments.  It certainly doesn't pay to ignore it.
