Don't share the number after further checking the number is simply a router for call centres in India which would explain the foreign person checking though I am mythed why some people got English phone operators.- Caller: Lloyds TSB
- TonypSince LloydsTSB do not have my mobile number that this number is calling, only one person other than Carphone Warehouse who sold me the phone knows the number plus the network provider, the calls can only be fraudulent. Anyone who thinks that because the number appears to be a Brighton number, it cannot be an overseas caller is mistaken. I suspect an internet to UK telephone network gateway is in use and a false caller line ID is being used. I received yet another one of these calls today but did not answer. I do not get calls on my landline or my other mobile.
I also have a direct marketing opt out though foreign callers are not bound by this and are usually frauds.
Although someone has reported this caller to LTSB, no action seems to be happening. Has anyone reported this number to the Police? To OFCOM?

- JThis letter will stop the harassment.
If it does not then you need to report it to the appropriate authorities such as the police.
In fact it is possible to have the debt written off if there is too much harassment. But you need ot tell them in a letter to stop it first.

to the house today - three calls to my parents yesterday - from the
Lloyds/TSB people in Brighton - insisting on me giving them a payment
plan - told them I'm already paying back £1.00 per month. They noticed
that I'd paid back £45.00 in early March and insisted on knowing why
this isn't what i pay every month - pointed out that I am unemployed and
that the £1.00 is a minimum, not a maximum payment. Obviouisly when more
money is available, it will be paid in to clear the debt more quickly -
He tried to get me to give him a full breakdown of my current income. I
pointed out that that was already going through the CAB but he insists
that his department has had no communication from them whatsoever which i know is not true. I told
him that he could contact them, but he refused point blank to do so. He
was however willing to give me his name and business address and
insists that i get the CAB to send them details of any income or payment
arrangements directly. Otherwise, he says the continuing phone calls to
my parents (up to three times a day at present) are my fault. ????
It does seem to be taking the CAB an awful long time to get the bank
fully up to speed on my situation, and I would appreciate some kind of
progress report from there too. Told them as much in writing just now.
Did try to get the bank monkey to call the CAB - he refused to have any
number other than mine - ie, my parents number. I recomended that the

rang back and said lloyds tsb wanting personal details etc - Mrs GreenAlso been hassled by this number but can agree with the others that it is not a scam, just an annoying automated call back centre based in India employed by TSB Lloyds credit card dept.
You can also reach them on 0845 6062175 or 0845 6006393 - both numbers were on correspondence I've had from Lloyds TSB and tally with the number left on my answer phone by that strange automated message.
So, for me at least, the call centre were helpful and sorted out the problem with my failed direct debit. Shame you can't say the same to the automated bit of their system.- Caller: Lloyds TSB
- 01273743574I think they are legit, but they seem to go about it totally the wrong way! They ask for personal details when they call and the banks always tell us never to give this sort of information away. It is best to ask them to put everything in writing and you will respond.

I refused to give personal info, and said you had called last night, and asked me (My son has the problem, not me) to "attend the branch", so I again explained I couldn't attend the branch as it was a holiday here, and then he hung up.

- Fed UpI've been receiving these calls for a month or so now - they call my home 'phone which goes direct to answerphone after 4 rings but they always hang up. I checked 1471 and it came up with this number. They even tried calling me at 3.50am (!!!) one weekday last week!
- AndyI can confirm that these guys are from the Lloyds TSB's Collections Centre based in Brighton. For those who actually call the normal Lloyds call centre would most likely be met with sheer confusion of this number or to be told that Lloyds themselves cannot deal with your enquiry as it's in the hands of Collections and it's against their policy, blah blah.
I had to phone Collections myself today using a number on a letter I received by them, (and from the staff in my local branch), and putting my mind at rest, the girl I spoke to over the phone confirmed that they had called me when I spoke to them originally.
Suffice to say that they aren't fraudulent and that they are calling you for a reason, but if you wish to feel better about it, tell whoever call you up that you prefer not to give your details to someone who just called you and instead call the collections team yourself. You'd of most likely received letters from them beforehand so use the contact number that is on that letter.- Caller: Lloyds TSB Collections
- dianei have about 30 calls aday from this number and i dont think that the person calling understands what go away means i never answer it as i dont know the number please god make them stop
- -Not really sticking up for them but if you just speak with them, find out what's wrong and then try and sort something out with them, they'd prefer to have £1 a month rather than nothing and being ignored. That way you'll avoid the insane amounts of calls a day from these guys. Really, they are like turds that won't flush if you try to ignore them.

I said I was at work and asked for a number to return the call, she gave me 0870 3665378. I would suggest not giving out any personal info but just ring this 0870 number instead just to check rather than give out personal info.

- nickTried calling back and got scrambled voices. Ive had 3 calls in the last week from this number. Basically trying to get me to pay a bank charge that, upon querying in my local branch, was never applied to my account! Considering TSB handles so many customers, they dont have a clue about customer service or even how to manage queries from one dept to another. No communication at all!!
