- SkidLloyds TSB chasing up my credit card debt!!
Indian call centre masquerading under a UK number. Very polite when they called but I couldn't take the call there and then, asked them to call back at 6 which they did.- Caller: Lloyds TSB

- Neo| 3 repliesThese calls are generated by Lloyds TSB collection centre automatic call system called Neo, they adjust frequency of calls according to the priority of your debt. Calls can be made very frequent ie 4 times an hour if chose. If this happens to you also check your phone line immediately after a call from them you will find it has been disabled for up to 10 mins. I recommend you tell them to check their own number on this website and tell them you are aware of Super Neo software and that it is illegal under the communications act- also threaten them with redress. Do not give out confidential information as that leaves you vulnerable. There is major Court case forthcoming involving harrassment from this bank-they are in for one hell of a shock.

- amykinsMy brother in law (who lives in the same house as me) just received a call from a man, asking for me. When my bro in law asked who was calling the man rudely said:
"Right! Bye!"
Then he hung up, leaving us very confused. We googled the number and were very surprised to find it was a call from Lloyds TSB.- Call type: Prank
- JezGot the same call today, asked for personal details, wouldn't give me any info about why they were calling. even if it is valid, it's very unprofessional.
- Caller: lloyds
- Tomj777| 1 replyReceived call today (Sunday evening) from a lady purporting to being from Llyods TSB Collections
Caller was abrasive, demanding that we release card details over the phone to make a payment of the princely sum of £8.24 (which, it turns out was an interest payment because we'd cleared the credit card on the day the statement was printed overdue by 4 working days).
All alarm bells rang and naturally we refused to divulge details over the phone.
Having finally closed the call I phoned Lloyds TSB and eventually, through the "Lost or Stolen Card" route, found a human being (a very nice lady who was professional and courteous) who eventually got through to collections on my behalf and ascertained that the call was genuine.
Quite disgraceful behavior by this once noble firm.- Caller: Lloyds TSB Collections

- Hate LloydstsbAs long as you write to them telling them 'They cannot phone you, but must communicate only by letter' they have absolutely no right to phone and are in fact committing the following offences:
The laws governing the Harassment of alleged debtors under Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970 are quite clear and their 'nuisance' telephone calls after the receipt of a request not to call may constitute a criminal offence under section 127 (2) of the Communications Act 2003.
Every individual has a right to be free from harassment under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997, and the offence of causing harassment is arrestable under the provisions of Section 24(2) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984. Additionally Section 3 of that act enables a person who is, or may become, the victim of behavior prohibited by Section 1 to take civil proceedings against the perpetrator.
In one single day they are committing multiple breaches of section 127(2)(a-c) of the Communications Act 2003, by their 'Improper use of public electronic communications network':
(2) A person is guilty of an offence if, for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to another,
he—
(a) sends by means of a public electronic communications network, a message that he knows to be false,
(b) causes such a message to be sent; or
(c) persistently makes use of a public electronic communications network.
(3) A person guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable, on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale, or to both."
Report them to the police and other statutory authorities, including your local Trading Standards department, the Financial Services Authority, the Office of Fair Trading and the Banking Ombudsman.

Was called today on landline, then immediately after on mobile from this number. First was a young man, second a woman, both Indian/Pakistani-sounding accents. As with all other posters, they claimed to be from LloydsTSB, said they need to discuss important info about my account, asked for DOB, first line of address, etc. Baby was crying so asked for their number - gave me 0845 600 6393 - don't believe 'em for a minute! NEVER defaulted on c/card & haven't given LloydsTSB my mobile number. Didn't ring back, & don't intend to - will complain in bank tomorrow but not holding my breath!!- Caller: LloydsTSB

Just posted above, then thought to try 0845 number on 'say no to 0870' website. This number isn't recognised by the site, implying to me that it's not LloydsTSB ringing (in case we thought it may be!), but it's not foolproof! Hope this helps.- Caller: LLoydsTSB
- Batman's DadGot a call earlier, seemed genuine. Did ask my details but nothing about my account, just DOB and Post Code.

- shirls replies to Sam| 1 replyThanks Sam. Have now took the matter further and have been in touch with a Media Relations Manager and complained. She is now investigating the matter. Hopefully something will now be sorted. If not will take your advice
- Mark replies to shirlsHad a few calls from this number. An indian lady claimed to be calling from Lloyds TSB immediately asked me for personal details as others here have said. I politely asked for proof that she was indeed from Lloyds TSB to which she replied "I'm sorry we can't give out personal information for security reasons". Right, but you expect me to do just that do you ? I think not! Needless to say i ended the call there and then before emailing the CEO of Lloyds TSB to complain.
If this is genuine then i find it shocking that a bank expects customers to give out personal details just because the person on the phone say's they are from Lloyds. In an age where we are constantly being told not to divulge personal information this sort of behaviour from a bank is inexcusable!
