Just read through the messages for this number.   Having the same problems - tried ringing it back but didn't work.   Being hassled constantly.   Question is if the TPS doesn't work and BT are no help - how can we get this stopped?  I can't believe businesses can be set up and dissolved and the same practices continue.  

It's indicative of a complete lack of respect for people, and very mercenary - strangely enough just what I've been seeing on the news in the last week.

I am fed up with the phone calls from this number.  When I pick the phone up music plays and then I can't put the phone down again.  Can someone please stop this happening?

I've just had a call from this number, and when answered they asked to speak to me (asking for my name). I then said speaking and they hung up. How rude!

I am getting sick and tired of cold calls, if its not from reclaiming loan protection insurance (which I NEVER take out in the first place), or some other stupid service which I don't want.

Sadly they don't listen if you say you're not interested. The only way they seem to get the message if you shout, swear or threaten violence towards them. Shouldn't have to resort to that level, but it's the only things these idiots understand. The only "protection insurance" these people will need will be for their own faces.

Giving them a fine is great, but should the companires that supply our numbers to these firms not also be fined. Its about time for some law to be passed that stops them doing this, if we want something we will make the calls

received a call from this number on 23rd August. Spoke to a lady  asking me when my house insurance was due for renewal. I asked her where she had obtained my ex-directory number from and said "it was on her screen". I asked for the name of the company she worked for, heard her give a sigh, then she  hung up on me.I will be informing ICSTICS about this to get the company checked out.

a little more digging and i have found out that Redress Claims, Money made simple and PPI advice line are all the same company, interesting???

Anyone seen the PPI Advice line advert on tv???

i would suggest that the MOJ take a long hard look at these companies and do what is right, are they just handing a licence to anyone?

Got a call on my business number about my home insurance. Asked where she got my number from and she said it was either other insurance companies or price comparison websites. I told her that I was registered from TPS and she said that she would have me removed from their database.

Had to ask three times what her company name was since she was talking so quickly - presumably since she is paid either by the number of calls made or the leads generated.

I keep getting calls from this company/these companies. One day they say its Redress Claims, another its PPI Advise Line and another day its Money Made Simple - I was a bit worried when I went onto the websites and there just seems to be a difference of a Unit 3 - Unit 4 between the companies but thought it was just a coincidence.

Are these companies the same companies? Is this legal and can they do this?

i am registered with tps, calls from this number stopped for a while but have started again, i am sick of cold callers usually about ppi or loft insulation

This number is calling every evening a couple of times a night and there is no one answering when you pick up. It is really unnerving especially as I am a disabled person and it takes a lot of effort to get to the phone. The number 01274 663293 is continually engaged when you phone to see what they wanted.

The answer is to get a phone that displays the number of the caller. Or subscribe to BT's Caller Display service. Then don't answer the phone from any number you don't recognise.

Got a call at 14 45 p m today asking for me personallly. Lady on other end spoke and said it was regarding PPI. When I asked how she obtained my details, she hung up. I did 1471 and although I do not have a company name, the telephone number of the caller was 01274663293. When I dialled that number to remonstrate with them, I got a service message which said "the number is not recognised"
Ant suggestions?
