I received a call but didnot answer.  I have recently used comparison sites for car insurance for someone else but didnot use my phone number but I have found an interesting post for this number which states:-

This is one of various false numbers used by a company called Money Made Simple (UK) Ltd. www.ppiadviceline.co.uk . Once they have your number this company calls almost every 15 minutes every day. It is a dodgy PPI insurance scam. You can call them back on 0800 292 2233 and ask them to stop calling - but they won't. I have complained to OFCOM and TPS but they're not interested

Phone rings but no-one speaks when we answer then it hangs up. Such a pain in the butt

Another mystery caller - when you try 1471 and ring it back to ask them to stop calling the line says the number is not recognised???

The phone rang, I picked it up and an automated message said " Thank you for calling an agent will be with you shortly" It then went onto hold with classical music. I put the phone down and tried to ring 1471 to see who it was but they were still on the line. They stayed there for ten minutes.

Just had the same - couldnt hang up . Eventually after about 15 mins they hung up. Very annoying as waiting for an important phone call. And what if we needed phone for an emergency!

Just had the same as the last two comments - nobody there when call answered, then answering message and then unable to make a call because they haven't hung up.  Would someone please do something about these calls.

received call from this no and couldnt disconnect, Couldnt use the phone for 25 mins.Getting very annoyed at amount of cold calling. Wher do they get my no from.?

Received a call today but all I heard was " your call is very important to us, please hold etc etc"
Put phone down but message and music get playing. Tried disconnecting over 20 mins, no luck. Line then went dead for 10 mins. Even reported a fault to TalkTalk.
When will these people be sorted out.......

Had a call from this number 17/09/12 immediately on hold, playing music. Put phone down but everytime I checked for next half hour, the music was still playing, so no one else could phone.

Just had the same, according to B.T. all that you can do to cut off the call is to disconnect the 'phone at the wall socket for ten miniutes and then reconnect. I worked for me but they are a pest anyway.

This number has called and stayed on my phone line for over half an hour we cannot cut them off.

I had a call from these people this afternoon for the first time. A very forceful gentleman tried to sell me home and contents Insurance. I explained my insurance is not due 'til next year but regardless he was going to save lots of money!! Eventually I got rid of him without rancour or rudeness. How do these people get hold of or names and telephone numbers? PPS is no help

Nope its all lies. The only reason we ask fo date ov birth is bcoz to get a quote u hve to run thru eligibility q's. The older u are the cheaper yur quote will be! An mate we do tell u if yu dnt wana say, give random dates but ur year has to be correct! 2ndly if yu agree too it al u will be askd fr is ur sort code n account number! Naw wth can newun do with that except put money into it! I swr ryt dopes!

Got a call from this number yesterday (1 Nov) at 6.45 pm.  I'm sure they've called me before.  As I was in the middle of eating, I ignored it.  Whoever they are, they shall not pass.

Had a call from this number, unsolicited. I am registered with TPS, so don't want any marketing calls.

Get rid of these people please!
