I have had calls from this number - I did advertise in Motor Trades for a small amount (£60). I received no work and so asked to stop the ad. They agreed as long as I paid for the 2 years - another £60.

Then out of the blue a particularly obnoxious person called Brad phoned and said that I had agreed to have a 'banner' advertisement at £3,300 but he would give me a discount. I denied agreeing to it and was told it was in the terms and conditions.
After a long argument where I put the phone down he called back about 6 times - I didn't answer.

They don't give out their last names, it's a really hard sell and they don't seem to know the meaning of customer relations. If its not a scam then they seriously need retraining.

They really know how to confuse you into agreeing for something other than what you thought you'd agreed to. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THEM. Their attitude stinks once they have your money and their terms and conditions rope you into spending more unless you opt out which is in the small print.

We’ve read your posting made on 10 August – you may want to call BT, as clearly the number is being listed somewhere, hence we have called you, the number is therefore not being treated by your telecoms provider as an ex directory number. Ask BT to mark the OTIS database as Ex Directory (they’ll know what this means!) – and this should stop further calls.

We are perplexed as to how you could be confused as to what orders you have, or do not have, as we have a very thorough process in place.

For an order to progress, firstly you have to place an order with a member of the sales team and then you have to further confirm the order with a member of the Operations team – this is a recorded call which follows a set script and you have to accept and confirm the terms of the order again on this call in order that an invoice and agreement can be raised.

We then send you an electronic agreement and confirmation of order email – and we then follow up everything by way of a hard copy mailed to you by recorded delivery.

If you are a genuine customer, we’d like to be able to help you, and would ask you to either direct dial 01277 800036 during working hours (Mon to Friday 0915 to 1715) or email optout@motortrades.co.uk quoting your agreement numbers, (these can be found on either the top right corner of your sales order or invoice or within the subject line of the electronic agreement that we sent you following your order).
