Not sure how you think you can stand up for Steve Jakes.if you worked at ufindalocal or Motortrades you'd know only too well wot he was like to work for and be around , the constant swearing and talk of drugs the unprofessional manner that he'd speak to people, staff and customers alike beggars belief.

That photo is well funny, that bloke in a suit looks proper out of place.  Remember how he used to bang on about being a geezer and how he didn't like chavs, when in fact he was the biggest chav in the office.  Just because he had a few quid in his pocket doesn't mean u can buy class haha... Here we go again with the whole "watch this space" crap. People have been coming on here for years saying this and nothing ever happens. Why don`t you all get on with your sad little life`s and move on. Steve knows how to play the system and has been investigated loads of times in the past so just deal with it people.

The threats he made to staff and ex staff and the way he carried on was truly shocking with drink n drugs and the contempt he had for staff and customers alike calling them scum and taking the p out of people just coz they lived in Basildon. Do you think that's acceptable john?

I`m not defending his actions Golum. I`m saying that I do not understand why people keep writing on this forum "watch this space". Nothing ever happens and Steve keeps doing what he does. The authorities are fully aware of Steve Jakes and have investigated his business activities many times. It has gone on for years. Yes he was [***] to work for, yes he spoke to staff like crap, yes he cons people all the time but do you lot not think the authorities are aware of this? Steve has done this for years and will continue to do so. You just need to get on with your life and forget about the bloke. Writing "watch this space" just makes you look stupid.

He's brother in law was the editor journalist for it and I think his dad's the director if I recall lol
