Called me today but didn't answer as figured it was a cold caller. Tracked it to Ipsos-Mori and found on their website that you can email them your telephone number (telephone@ipsos-mori.com) and request that they cease from calling you in future. keep getting lots of calls from this company

Got a call from them today asking for my daughter, by name, said I was her Mum, but they're not allowed to speak to me, it's important that they speak with her, she was out and I said she was on holiday, he said ok how long for, will ring back in 2 weeks, blinking cheek !!

typical - information is power - and of course what do they do - abuse it - is it any wonder we need so much legislation nowadays just to be able to go about our daily lives without harassment - but even that doesn't work. DATA PROTECTION - WHAT DATA PROTECTION!

If I wanted pestering phone calls the minute I walk in from a stressful day at work, I would be in the phone book and I would not be ex-directory, I would not be anonymous call rejection - COME ON BT/MP somebody? WHAT MORE DO WE HAVE TO DO TO PROTECT OUR PHONE LINES FROM ABUSE. I have kids at home - I can't be there all the time telling them - DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE IT'S ANOTHER SCAM/PRANK/ABUSE PHONE CALL.   IT'S ABUSE OF POWER/INFORMATION AND THE SOONER THE LEGISLATION INCORPORATES THEM THE BETTER.

SORRY BUT I HAVE A LIFE TO LEAD - OTHERWISE I WOULD GLADLY SIT DOWN ALL DAY AND NIGHT (IF YOU PAID ME) ANSWERING YOUR PATHETIC AND INFANTILE QUESTIONS ON EVERYTHING I DO IN MINE AND MY FAMILIES PERSONAL LIFE.
"JUST DOING A SURVEY"  JUST DOING SOME RESEARCH INTO....." HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU HEARD THAT OLD CHESTNUT!

CLASSIC EXAMPLE - I HIRED A CAR RECENTLY (NAME OF COMP REFUSED TO AVOID A FULL ON ATTACK!) TOOK ALL MY DETAILS D/L UTILITY BILL ETC FOR PROOF OF ADDRESS AND ID ETC. THEY INSISISTED I GAVE THE LANDLINE NUMBER FOR 'SECURITY' - I SAID COULD ONLY HAVE MY MOBILE BUT WERE ADAMANT - SO I SAID AND REALLY EMPHASISED - IT IS EX DIRECTORY SO YOU MUST NOT PASS IT ON!
I GAVE THEM ALL THIS INCLUDING MY MOBILE. WENT ON HOLIDAY - CAME BACK - GUESS WHAT - MARKET RESEARCH ON MY LANDLINE FROM AN INTERNATION NUMBER (THE USA) WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON - IT WOULD BE NICE TO BE ABLE TO RECIPROCATE ONE DAY AND SEE HOW THEY REACT! - THEY COULDN'T HAVE RUNG MY MOBILE COULD THEY. I WAS FUMING DOWN THE PHONE - I COMPLAINED TO THE CAR HIRE COMPANY AND TOLD THEM I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. EVEN IF IT MEANS PAYING EXTRA TO ANOTHER FIRM.

Constant telephone calls even tho I ex directory and have unwanted calls block on my phone.

Got a call at 12.36pm on my mobile, seemed to know my name and where I went to college?? Even though I left college 2 years ago..?
Said they were to do with the college and would like to ask me some questions on how my experience 'helped' me?
Told them I was busy and they said they'd ring back later!

Had around 14 missed calls now from 9am to 9pm over a week thank god I am away all week with work this would have driven me mad.

Its MORI they called less than 3 mins ago on my day off. I said sorry please remove me from your records and they said NO problem.

they've run us numerous times this week wanting to speak to my son, we too are ex-directory and they to can p*** off!!

Just received a call from these people asking for my daughter who no longer lives here when I said "I would NOT give my daughters number as she is ex directory" they were not very polite. Oh and I'm ex directory too, like may of the comments above .... if I want to answer personal questions, it most definately would NOT be to a stranger.

rang  3 times in 1hr i dont answer nos i dont recognise so evry1 beware that this is maeket research and could ultimately cost you a packet!

Keeps calling me about 2/3 times a day.. If theyve got something to say why dont they leave a message on the answerphone? If like above it is market research they are breaking the law because i am also TPS registered. Its about time someone put a stop to all these scammers! :((

TPS does not stop all nuisance calls.   It is a list maintained free of charge by the Marketing Industry to minimise Sales calls only.       It does not apply to anything other than sales calls.   It excludes Companies with whom you already do business or to whom you have given your phone number without specifically instructing them to make no phone contact.   It does not exclude Opinion Polls or Market Researchers.

Received 3 missed calls. Info indicates that are doing a student survey. I understand that Open University may have worked with them before, although I don't remember opting into any marketing (unless i missed a tickbox). Added to call reject list.

I've been receiving calls from all sorts of companies form all different numbers upto 30 A DAY!!!!! ONLY SINCE MISSING ONE PAYMENT on my barclaycard/capital one card.!!!
