Heard people talking then line went dead after only a few seconds.

THey call and then put the phone down!

Have had numerous calls from this company who call themselves the Energy Research Centre, Scotland.  They can happen at various times of the day but most frequently in the evening and it does my head in.  I see this type of unsolicited call as an infringement of my privacy.  I no longer say anything to them - I simply put the phone down but it does annoy me.

Received an annoying call from this number tonight 20/05/15 @ 19:35

Scottish accent, female selling new windows, started off with some rubbish about its just a survey. Advised them that this number is ex-directory and also registered with TPS. I then asked her three times WHY she was phoning me.

Then some statement saying they weren't bound by TPS.

Asked for the company name, something like Household Energy Services, but she refused when asked for the proper phone number of the company. So I rudely said * Off and put the phone down.

If a Company phones claiming "SURVEY" to conceal what you later find to be a Sales attempt, they are very definitely covered by TPS.         Report them without delay and let them learn the hard way.     Most people assume they are telling the truth.          What nuisance caller does?

Got a call from this number at 10 am this morning. As I was out it would go onto my answering machine but no message was left
