2 rings then caller ended call. Seems to be a boiler company. If it's the same outfit they have called before but been told that the boiler is only 3 years old.

keep getting calls from this outfit re boilers. It is an automated message and promps u to enter 2 or 9 if u want removed from their call list. I am on call preference and have had 2 calls in one hour one day even though I keep pressing 9.

It is a persistent PAISLEY phone pest and robber called Tony Lindie (+ wife, and now robocaller machine)
  You will find him at Sweeney's Gym, 5 Rowan St, PAISLEY . He lives near there too but it is not permitted to post residential address. You can his residence by googling "Anthony Lindie" and one of the company listing website shows it.
He was due in Paisley Sheriff Court on 8th June.  On one of the Glasgow and one of the Edinburgh numbers 01315106612 01412802446 has been used to make anonymous phone threats.

Thanks for the info.  I've had a few calls over the last week - 3 in one day.  I've just had another and logged it with the ICO - doubt it will make any difference, but hey-ho.

Robocall about replacement boilers.  Phone every day even though I've asked them to take me off their list.

Pressing 9 is a scam in itself, unfortunately. All it does is confirm that your number is active and in use. The more you do it, the more they'll call. They'll probably sell it on to other companies as well.

I get calls from this mob daily, I got so fed up I pressed 2 and got some skanky [***], told her to f off and stop calling and she hung up, so now I press 2 all the time, but so far it goes dead, if the [***] answers again, i am going to say I am interested and ask for more info, and maybe book a call out, get them to come out and messure up for a new boiler, not sure if they can fit one in an industrial unit, but hey ho, it's their time and money that will be getting wasted.

As above I also have been receiving telephone calls from the 0141-2020404 number.  However on each occasion I have either been out or let the phone ring till the answering machine kicks in.  I've tried to return the call with negative effect to date.
At this stage I am considering "going along" with their sales pitch and make an appointment to have one of their operatives call upon me.

When such a person arrives they will not only find me in attendance but also two Police Officers &/or Trading Standards Officers also.  Details will be noted of the aforementioned Company Operative and then the following action carried out.

The relevant Common Law Crime under Scottish Law will be envoked of "Breach of the Peace" whereby such is committed if as in this case a "Breach of the Peace is committed the definition of which is that if any of the lieges are placed in a state of fear, alarm or ANNOYANCE then this Crime can be reported to the Procurator Fiscal with a view to Prosecution in a Scottish Law Court which could if found guilty impose unlimited fine and/or imprisonment.

This may be of interest to any such readers who are plagued with this "scam".

We're getting this 3 or 4 times every day, waking my night-working wife up every time. The same message has been received several times on the answer service of an elderly relative in Fife, this time from an Edinburgh number, possibly 01314408257 (?) and another vulnerable and elderly friend keeps on getting them daily, and we're concerned she'll ask some criminal to her house. I've reported via ICO, but not sure how effective this will be.

Your 0131 appeared in a past gumtree advert for free boilers.
Gumtree, though used by many, was used to advertise and offload items by Tony Lindie.
Was also him that also placed a fake telesales job recruitment advert for FEP heatcare with number 01412800035

Receiving repeated calls from this number, an International number and also 01 5494 3784 all saying it is a government requirement that you have to replace your boiler before 2016.  All pre recorded messages sometimes a female voice but mostly a male voice together with their instruction to press 2 for more information or 9 to be removed from the list.  Anything up to four calls a day from as early as 7.30am to latest being around 11.30pm... I am totally sick of it.. my number is ex directory and listed with TPS but it makes no difference. Something is seriously needing to be done about these very annoying people.
