I subscribe to TPS but these calls keep coming. Today it was Steven from "Boiler Replacement" I do not even have a boiler!

I heard with dismay that a new government boiler replacement grant was on the go again, not as it's a bad scheme but because I knew that I'd start to get the regular daily intrusion of scam phone calls on the subject of boiler replacements, just like this one and no doubt several times a day for the next few months - what fun...

Scottish boy.      Talking about Gas Boiler replacement.    Knew exactly which village he was calling, but incorrect name.   Still managed to go ahead with his script when I agreed that I was MRS ,X.     None too pleased to learn that his Company had got him busily phoning people in a village without a gas pipe for miles.

"GAS BOILER UK"  a non-existent name.    Using a line from allocated to Telephony Services Limited.     They expect that people will press buttons to stop further call.       It certainly will be cheaper for them than bothering to follow TPS rules.

Reported to TPS.     The more reports, the BIGGER the fine.

i jsut got a call from them...the guy couldn't even pronounce my name properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I told him to go away..unpolitely!

Add these numbers to your blocker for next few weeks because they rotate then dispose of numbers at regular intervals

If you have been recently been bothered by this,the above or any of the numbers I list below re threats or aggressive advertising re alarms,insulation or boiler replacement you would be better prioritising a new number to block. A report was issued this morning on 01412020404 typical of the wise guy who refuses to stop calling.

They still called me in the last few weeks despite at least TWO YEARS of requesting to desist.

Boiler replacement UK? Another cold calling waste of space. Don't answer it.

This number just rang, I thought that was somebody local and that why  I answered the phone. And they were not calling from Edinburgh (they were calling from another place: Harrington or something like that). How the system allow these people to lie in this way? We have TPS but of course that is the same as nothing. They call to our telephone number 5-6 times per day and we can not do anything about that. Just ignore the calls....

When you get fed up with them. I invite the salesman etc to my house. At the door then ask for their visiting card with name of company.. Then inform them to tell bosses to stop cold calling me as I am on TPS and send them on their way.

I keep getting these calls repeatedly and want them stopped.

Persisting to call me despite my request for them to stop doing so, reported them today to OFCOM.

One of those made up official sounding organisation names like "Energy Advisory UK". Just hang up or don't answer. Yesterday they were probably selling double glazing or solar panels. TPS makes no difference to them.

Called this morning at 9:00am. Didn`t recognise the number so let it run to answer machine. Now Blocked. But they will just change there number.

Yes, they will just hammer away from a long list of alternative numbers.

Chap said his name was Brian from Energy Save UK and started asking me how old my boiler was, I said 5 years old, then he said it was just a survey about boilers (presumably if I'd said it was older, he'd have started trying to flog me something).
(Note there is a company of that name at http://energysave.co.uk, but they don't list boilers among their products, so I strongly suspect the name he gave is bogus).

The guy on the phone was polite. I advised that we don't have gas and asked him where they got our number. We're TPS registered and ex directory. We NEVER give our landline number out. I phoned the ombudsman recently but am told they can't do anything unless the company is registered with them.

I've written to my MP but no response - can anyone suggest how we can get these calls stopped? Getting to the stage where I'll simply stop answering the phone to anyone.

For example "Gas boilers UK" is HIS calling card on several numbers in the capacity as an "energy advisor" , but laterly misused the name of the Derby company "Energy Save UK".

You will also see the same irate posters on different numbers of the whole list

This supposed energy advisor doing free surveys was a general handyman & installer of burglar alarms and loft insulation but resigned as director from limited companies by May this year.
Now google "energy advisor" and you see the energy grant policy u-turn has triggered a new round of job adverts by oily, delboy sales entrepreneurs who advertise for such lackeys (handymen, builders, kitchen designers) to take a quick induction course to hard sell and make a pest of themselves.
