EMC had the nerve to cold call me AGAIN just now after promising to suppress my number.

I asked the caller's supervisor "Jody McIver" why I was being called when the company's data protection manager had suppressed my number and she said it was a "system error".

Called Mark Taylor and let him have it both barrels.
I said that I did not want his company to call me but if they did he would assuredly get a call from me. If he did not want me to call him, the answer lay in his hands.

I suggest everyone contacted by EMC does the same. They will get the message soon enough

We were on the receiving end of one of EMCAS's claims. They tricked the client in to making the claim by making numerous false claims, told them we had mis-sold their investment by not telling them they could lose all their money, even though EMCAS didn't ask the client how the monies were invested. They slandered me by telling the client I had done this in order to sell the product that earned me the most commission, even though this was not true and they had no evidence to substantiate such a claim. Both we and the client have filed complaints to the Ministry of Justice and we have also referred them to the Financial Services Authority. Their defence to our complaints has been frankly laughable, for example they defended one complaint by claiming the client's recollection of who advised them can be unreliable, whilst they are 100% happy to rely on the client's recollection of conversations that took place years ago whilst trying to pocket themselves 42% of whatever they can obtain for someone. Steer well clear of these people.

Who keeps calling and doesn't leave a message? three times in one day.

I have a phone with call barring on it.

I enter the phone number and the phone automatically
blocks all future calls from that number.

RE Payment Protection on loans ... fed up with getting these calls...

Another call from this number. No message left.What a pain.

Just been phoned by EMCAS, claiming they are regulated by the Ministry of Justice. Said I had completed an online survey (I never have) so they were entitled to make a phone call even though I'm TPS registered. Couldn't give me details of the survey I'm supposed to have completed but his data manager would call me back with details. Needless to say, he hasn't.

Advice: It is a legal requirement to say where they got the information from. Report them to the Data Protection Commission if they don't.  TPS does not allow one call.  Report them to TPS.  The Ministry of Justice does not permit this sort of cold call. Report them to MoJ (which has recently deregistered dozens of such companies and suspended others).  You can also check a company's registration status via the MoJ website.  All reports can be made online.  It's worth doing - at least one company that had pestered me has been shut down and another has been fined over £400,000.

If you answer them be prejudice against them in some way badly and hope they report you then you can find out who they are and go round and pester them in the same way the law against stalkin applies to them you know

I had a call today 20/02/2013 approx 4.50pm all the man said was MCAS and would be calling back
I have never heard of them and don't know who they are

Fed up these calls running down my charge while at work,  I check my phone at my break and several missed calls.  So have finally reported them,

I reported this number to telephone preference after two calls and still got a third. The name is something like M cas and it is to do with debt and reclsiming from your credit card.   |I told the third person I would report them so maybe they will stop.

EMCAS again....said I had a PPI insurance claim. Declined offer on priniple...fully capable of dealing with this unaided. Caller then refused to get off the line with a threat that if I declined to continue with the conversation I would get repeated calls. I hung up

Threats to continue such nuinance takes this to a new dimension.

Forget...this is TPS registered number.

This No rings at least twice a day when l first answered the call nothing

I've told the people calling from this number that I'm with the Telephone Preference Service, and that they should not be calling me, yet they still keep doing so. The firm is EMCAS, which has an address of 38-40 Palace Avenue, Paignton, Devon TQ3 3HE

Another annoying caller offering help with PPI claims.  I gave them a verbal blasting about intrusion and annoying telephone calls about matters which are not relevant to me - I have not been involved with PPI.  It is about time that the various regulatory authorities stamped out this behaviour.

EMCAS called again even though I had told them previously that we did need their services. This is a TPS registered number.

The caller then persisted and threatened (as an implied nuisance) to call again...and as good as his word they did but now a different person.

This will be added to the report already made to ICO (and other parties)
