Just received intrusive call from the latest bunch of PPI claims scavengers offering their services which are not required as I have never been involved with PPI..  I informed the caller that I was not interested and he said that there was nothing that could prevent them calling me.  I pointed out that my wife died recently and I am awaiting relevant calls and I not welcome intrusive interruptions such as his.  He then called me 'rude'.and said he was only carrying out his role in telesales.

I have just had a call from the above no. and they hung up when i answered

why are you calling me and when i answer your line goes dead do not ring this number again or i will take this matter up with my soliceter

These people are persistent; we have invested in a call blocker and would recommend that other people do the same. It will not stop them calling because they are probably calling from a computerised dialler; however, it will frustrate them and cost them money.

Thicko, what's the point in buying a call-blocker if it doesn't work? Cheaper to ignore numbers you don't know

They just called me, re PPI. Took me two attempts to persuade them I have no claim over it. I'll be blocking it shortly.

This company EMCAS calls me 2 to 3 times a day with their PPI nonsense. They don't listen and are very annoying. However they have a freephone number 0800 0 272484. I have been calling this a few times today. Seems they find it annoying. The guy on the line the last time spoke to his manager reporting that 'he had a call from head office but no one is there'. Even better they think its their own people calling!

Another toss pot caller has ignored TPS so obviously up to no good.

Just silence at the other end.

I have just received a letter from the data Protection Officer of these people who has followed-up on a complaint I made to the TPS regarding persistent calls from these people.

He has advised me that my details were purchased from a third-party data provider and that he has contacted them and they have provided evidence, including "a recording" which demonstrates that I agreed for EMACS to call me.

I have written to him to ask for the details of this third-party company as I have absolutely no recollection of ever providing any instruction to any marketing company for my details to be sold on in this way. I have also asked him directly to ensure that I am no longer called by EMACS by removing my details from their database.

I'll reply back as and when I hear anything from him and EMACS. It'll be interesting to find out who is flogging our details to these type of companies.

Rang the freephone number listed here today after three days of receiving calls from this lot and asked them to take my number from their systems, as my father is at home recovering from surgery and I don't want him stressed out from this. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite and said he would suppress the number and i'd receive no further calls. We'll see this afternoon, I suppose.

PPI. Tps is useless and even the head of the service admits it doesn't do what it's supposed to.

I have had it with these people, this is the 10th time in the last 5 days they have rung here. I am disabled and have just had a serious operation, I can't keep getting up and down to answer the phone. These people are damn pests and need to be stopped.

Just had a call on my mobile from this company, it's a new one on the long list of other unsolicited calls I receive on a daily basis. Fortunately I have a caller reject function on my Galaxy S III mini phone, and have used it, so hopefully that's the end of that annoying company calling me! If you've got a similar phone, see if you have the facility too. :-)  I would love to know who has actually given out my mobile and also landline numbers, as that's ex-directory too, and I suspect it could be United Utilities, but may be wrong?

01392353101 This number called me 3 times today, the first at 8.30 am, the last time at 7.30 pm this evening, when I pointed this out, he said well we call up to 8.00 pm this means a 12 hour period to be a complete and utter nuisance with unwarranted calls, don't they think we have more important things to do than keep picking up the phone even after being told not to call again.  (I am 70 & disabled,  having to struggle to get the phone. Problem is the do not understand English!!!  How many time do we have to say NO.  It would appear we have to be rude & impolite and hung up on them.  I have had them and a whole list of unwarranted calls for the last two years, sometimes 20 a day!!!  (I have spent over a £100 for equipment to try and combat these calls).

its got to a point that I have bought an answer machine, they pay for the call n I get to vet them , my firend leave a message.
