'Mr and Mrs T' Thankyou for your comments. We STRONGLY advise that if you go ahead with the appointment with Minster Legal Associates of York, listen to what they have to offer as they maybe genuine, write down as much detail as you can, check their ID.
Most important of all DO NOT part with any money on the day of the appointment. Then check the details out with a Solicitor, because when dealing with putting your estate in order it takes longer than an hour it takes time to plan and may not cost you as much.
We will however do our own research on this company and report back as soon as possible.

    Thankyou for reading

Dear KW, Thank you for taking the time to reply so promptly. After we posted our query we discovered on an earlier page that they (according to companies house) were only established last summer. Whatever their pedigree, this lack of history appears to be a trait shared by many of the other companies you are discussing, so we played safe, and will not be entertaining them. Instead, we drove into town and made an appointment with a small family run firm of solicitors where we usually shop and who have existed since 1927! We hope that the rest of you get you get your money back soon and that the will-writing industry is tightly regulated equally soon; it is unbelievable that this "wild west" racket can exist in 2011. Very best of luck to you all and stay safe!

Have there been any arrests or rearrests yet? I claimed with the governments Company Insolvency Service as I was getting no where with Minster/Express. They closed Barton's earlier operations down so I'm hopeful they'll do the same with this nest of new companies. Use the form below if you want to make them aware of your individual issues. The more who complain and/or claim the sooner they will raise the priority of dealing with them. Website form is http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/complaintformcib.htm

Please be aware if you are considering planning the future of your assets seek professional advice from an Accountant or Financial Advisor then go to a family Solicitor.
    But please do your homework.

As thousands of people risk dying intestate after the closure of Minster Legal Services (uk) Ltd a will-writing firm based in Gainsborough. We want to warn those people to make new wills immediately.

Our Concern is that thousands of people will die thinking that they have sorted out their affairs, but instead they will be leaving a legal mess for their loved ones.

    Curious
    KW,

I'm curious....you clearly have a serious axe to grind with these people and I'm afraid I don't buy the "protecting the elderly & vulnerable" card. The Hotmail address makes me suspicious as well. I assume as you are handing out "free advice" on such matters that you are qualified in this field. You keep referring to "we" in your posts so are you:

    a) A competitor trying to rid yourself of a little of the competition
    b) A journalist
    c) Someone with a little too much time on their hands

It seems that this forum is being edited to ensure only the negative posts remain - there were 20 pages yesterday, now there are only 19. I fully expect this post to be deleted.

And before the accusations start flying, I am not connected to any of the companies with which you have an issue, I am merely commenting on what seems to be a crusade.

You would do well to remember that there are two sides to every story and whoever is editing this forum is ensuring that only one side is being told. I also hope, for your sake, that none of the "free advice" you are dishing out via your hotmail address gives anyone cause to seek you out for redress if it proves to be wrong. Oh, and as you're clearly holding personal data, I hope your adhering o the minefield that is the DPA

    Just my 5p's worth......

Curious Thankyou for your comments Our serious axe to grind as you put it, is evident regarding all the serious complaints that we receive via email, and on the thread. Our priority is to protect the Elderly and Vulnerable, and our email address is no concern for suspicion as we have multiple users that provide advice, so therefore all require access

The advice that we give does not carry a qualification requirement.

We like you and every other reader do not have to disclose our identity.

We would like to make it absolutely clear that we are no way responsible for the removal of any posts.

It would seem evident, that you are someone with little too much time on your hands or you are indeed involved despite what you are claiming, as your curious comments are only directed at the good guys, strange that!!!!
Who are you to question our integrity our complainants know the service we are providing is that of importance.

Call it a crusade or whatever, but it has developed into such with so many complaints.

Please don’t concern yourself no one will need to seek redress for receiving constructive advice.

The personal data has been forwarded to the appropriate authorities.

We will have our CONSUMERS 3 million pounds worth

    Thankyou for reading

    KW,

Many thanks for your response. Rest assured, I do not have too much time on my hands....I actually came across your post while researching companies who work in this line of work. To someone who is unfamiliar with the circumstances of these firms, (and indeed the many complaints which you & your associates obviously have sight of), it looks like a disgruntled customer with an axe to grind. The internet is full of forums (indeed I am a member of several myself) which end up having legal problems when a disgruntled customer posts their experience. How does the old saying goes...a disgruntled customer will tell 20 people, a satisfied customer might tell 1! My post was merely trying to establish whether your & your associates had a vested interest in attempting to put these firms out of business. Posts such as "we have their vehicle registrations" seems a little OTT, as has been pointed out by a couple of other posters.

I am certainly not involved in these companies, indeed I rarely venture north of Milton Keynes as I get a nose bleed, so the towns & cities of which you speak are merely places on a map to me!

I don't appear to have questioned the integrity of you or your associates. I merely made an enquiriy as to the reason for your "crusade" against these firms. There are very few people in the world who do things without a good reason. I think accusing me of questioning your integrity was a little strong.

Had your reply to my original post not been quite so "prickly" I might have approached your group for advice before engaging one of these firms to carry out some work. The internet can be a very dangerous thing for a companies reputation and there are always 2 sides to every story. The fact that positive posts have been deleted also made me ask questions.

Just out of interest, how do you arrive at GBP£3m? I accept I may have missed something, but that seems an awfully large amount to slip under the radar!!

    well well

it seems KW is getting a little touchy

'curious' has only voiced the same/similar concerns as myself, i wonder how many others are questioning the motives of KW? as i pointed out before when you send an email to KW's helpline address, the help that is offered is to have your will re written!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe the comments on this forum should have been based more on facts than guesswork and what seems like a desire to 'get someone' (whether it's the right person/people or not). then the accusations of crusades/axes to grind wouldn't be flying around.

    aha.

Curious Thankyou for your comments we are sorry that we are unable to be of assistance to you whilst you search for a company to carry out work for you of this nature, perhaps you should enquire closer to home in Milton Keynes, were we are sure there are reputable Solicitors in your local area who will gladly assist you.

You are absolutely right with the old saying, and we intend to reach out to at least one person a day in turn this will escalate to ten , and if your talking about it in your area it must be having the desired affect.

If and when legal problems arise we will seek  our legal advice to protect us, however thank you for your concern..

As we stated in our earlier posts personal information has been passed to the appropriate authorities.

We can not steer you away from using these companies that is your choice, we can merely advise, given all the horror stories that we have heard of so far we would not recommend  the aforementioned companies to anyone.

As we are sure if a garage didn’t put your wheel nuts back on securely and you had an accident costing you hundreds of pounds in damage you would be wary of using ever them again, and if  you were asked by another consumer, you would warn them of your bad experience.

This Forum was continued by disgruntled consumers who don’t want unwanted calls, surely there is going to be 99% unhappy consumers as that is the purpose of the Thread.
We are not responsible for removing the one positive post,.

Rest assured we have good reason to have a vested interest, and that is to ( Protect the Elderly and Vulnerable ) whether you buy it or not  which is where you questioned our integrity assuming that we had other ulterior motives.

as i pointed out before when you send an email to KW's helpline address, the help that is offered is to have your will re written!!!!!!!!!!!!

THROUGH ALL OF OUR EMAILS YOU HAVE NOT REQUESTED OUR HELP NOR HAVE YOU IN FACT EMAILED US SO PERHAPS YOU SHOULD ADHERE TO YOUR OWN WORDS FROM  YOUR FIRST QUOTE, all the consumers that have been in touch can verify that this is not the case.

oh indeed i have been in touch, yes they are my quotes,

you really think stating in capitals that i have't bee in touch means you're right?

i've contacted you using a personal e mail, you came back with an offer of getting a will via yourself

    FACT

    i'm getting confused

is this a forum for all to sensibly discuss facts or is it a podium for KW??

sadly your facts are often incorrect and your help is at a price

if you had stuck to real facts and truly been interested in catching the guilty, not going for all, guilty or not, then maybe we would have had deeper , more interesting conversations

    good luck all

aha Thankyou for your comments we would like you, if we did email such an offer!!!! for you to copy and paste our response including date and time onto this forum for all to see. because if we could offer such a service we would gladly do it free of charge, as the consumers have paid enough already.

It would seem that you and others are making it a podium for KW!!!

How would you know what is fact and what isn't if your not involved, and rest assured we will catch the guilty.

    Dear all,

Please ignore any comments about KW or the wewillgivefreeadvice email offering another paid for Will.  That was certainly not our experience.  They are not Will writers as far as I can see.  They offered advice on what we could do regarding our own situation and never offered to re write our Will - and never took a fee!  We did offer to pay for help, but our money was declined as their service is free.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course, but it is unfair to put people off getting help.

    Warm Regards.
