I am so thankful I searched online for any information on such companies, however, it's another outfit we purchased from called Prestige Tax And Trust Services in Doncaster at Watervole Way, the gentleman (now a term used very lightly after spotting his name on this site) was called Jerry Carrington, if it weren't for this site we would have kept the products but luckily we saw it within the cooling off period and cancelled immediately. They called us from 08007879001. How these companies sleep at night knowing they've taken thousands of pounds of peoples hard earned money is beyond me.

These people have been operating this type of business for approx 20 years and probably likely to do another 20.

That is appalling! The Director has been sentenced for committing fraud? When I research the company it mentions the Director being a Wendy Hesketh?

I also have 2 phone numbers for them, the one they gave me was 08007879001, there was also an 01302 number but Im not sure where I've put that

Thankyou for your comments, this is the company that Andrew Hesketh worked for before Prestige law and before Prestige tax and trusts. the Director is his wife (Wendy Hesketh).

So just like the other one, Andrew Hesketh is also disqualified from acting as a director of any company, therefore, puts it in the name of his wife!

Charterhouse Legal Ltd t/a Charter Legal has just been put into liquidation - see Companies House website latest entry on the company on its PDF file for details.  Indeed Law, which traded out of the same office for the same purpose by the same people (Alana Benson, etc) at The Forum, North Hykeham, is still operating.

Companies House has now published a new notice to the effect that Charterhouse Legal is not now to go into liquidation:

'16 Jan 2016 Compulsory Strike-off action has been discontinued.
Striking-off action discontinued.   Cause has been shown why the above company should not be struck off the register and accordingly the Registrar is taking no further action under section 1000 of the Companies Act 2006 pursuant to the Notice dated 14/01/2016'

As of yesterday there is a County Ct judgement against Charter Legal. They are still trading. For those who received a letter from Alana Benson about liquidation- read the wording carefully! It says words to the effect of "the defendant in this case is going into voluntary liquidation". That much is true - but with Direct Law 4 u so yet another apparent deliberate deception designed to stop customers pursuing them. I will post more up later.

Received a telephone call from this company after saying I wasnt interested I was badgered for 15 more minutes by a lady called Clare who clearly doesnt understand what the words "I am not interested" mean. That 15 minutes was trying to scare me into thinking my home would be taken away and i was putting myself at risk. So please Prestige Tax And Trust Services stop intimidating vulnerable people and get a real job! Rogue Traders! Its about time Watch Dog stepped in and protected people from this vermin! I also received a call the next day from another lady named Lauren who if I could have got a word in edgeways she would have known id already had a call from Clare the day before so I had to hang up the phone she didnt give me chance to speak!
