I found out that it is Respondez(UK) making these calls. I informed Natasha who seems to be a nice young girl that if I continue to receive these calls then I will start ringing them )from SKYPE ) and someone at their end will get earache, I threatened them with the BBC amongst other things.
Remains to be seen if this works.

Answered a call from these today, watch out they are "fishing" for info. They asked if I was miss so and so hoping I would say no its . . . . . .  then they have your name and can use it next time they call.

thought this number was my son  (he lives in hartlepool) it wasnt. It was some woman said she was from vanquis bank and they had all theses great offers on...total scam.

I had a call from this number just, This is a company called respondex which handles calls for various companies, if you quickly dial the number it will give you the option to cancel any further calls by entering your phone number .

Over last 2 MONTHS, getting 2 poss 3 calls aday.
After reading comments about this number, GLAD i looked here. Even if my number is withheld.

this cli, is allocated to a UK call data management company called Respondez, they are based in Hartlepool, their main cli is 01429 241 400 - They do work with Vanquis along with other FSA governed finacial businesses and added to that they work for the entertainment and retail sectors too.

Their call traffic system doesnt appear to identify opt outs over the telephone either.

one recommendation is TPS (telephone preference service) your home phone/mobile. therefore rendering it illegal to receive unsolicited cold calls like these.

We have also started receiving calls from this number, recently.  So far, they have only reached our answering machine, but have never left a message.  Thanks for the help in finding out who it is.

sick or this annoying company and am going to theaten then with the police...harasment or what?

Recieved phone calls several times a week from this number have recently recieved a lot of letters from vanquis, possible connection?  Do not dare to ring back after the scam I heard of before where the call can be transferred to other countries etc....would like to kow if anyone has any more information.  Due to the hours I work, I am getting fed up with these calls!

This number keeps calling me. Its become a nuisance

Phone at least 5 - 6 times a week, on mobile and house phone ask for details.  Tell them to take a running jump.  They get very angry if you say that you are not interested

had a phone call off this number and one off an 0161 number when i search this website for who both numbers are seems to be something to do with people trying to get information out of you about your credit cards. very strange that the calls actually overlapped one calling my mobile and one calling the land line. Surely if it was actually vanquis they would not be calling me from 2 different area codes at once. Beware people!!1 I wont be answering again!!!

had a couple of calls from this number..... no idea who it is!

I've had 2 calls from this no. today ignored them both.It's certainly not Vanquis,as they've told other posters on here, they use a 0871. Looks like a scam or phishing.

got a call from this number on my mobile earlier today, when asked who they were they declined saying it is a personal business matter. I hung up after saying if they were not prepared to tell me who they were, I was not prepared to speak with them

But I DID declared with Vanquis that I do not want  to disclose my details to any 3rd parties.

I had a call from this number. Also from these numbers: 0161 380 0252,    0161 380 7111,   0161 380 7105,   01613807107.
It has now got to the point where i don't answer my landline at all due to these types of call. I also never answer my cellphone if i don't recognise the number.
At the end of the day if the call is that urgent they will leave a voice message.
I also recieve texts from companies like this and it's best not to respond, even if they ask you to text STOP as any kind of response notifies them that the line is active. It's best just to delete them and forget about them.
Unfortunateley i doubt there is any way to stop these calls completely to be honest.

Got a call this morning firstly on my mobile then straight after on my landline - i called the number and it was a recorded message saying i had been called by Respondaid and if didnt want any further calls to type in my number followed by # key.  I didnt do this and stayed on line to see if anyone would come on line but it cut me off.  I wouldnt type in my number or press # key as some scams can hack into your details if you do this ive heard?
