I received a call from this number claiming to be from my Aqua card. The person asked me for the usual security details, i wasnt too happy to give any over so i said that i would call back myself, was polite and didnt mind me doing that. Dialed the number straight back and got the answermachine message and Googled "Respondez" as it says on the message itself and found its website www.respondez.co.uk that put my mind at ease so i called Aqua and they confirmed for me that they do indeed use that call centre... Just goes to show, do a little bit of investigating and then you'll get the right answers, would suggest everyone having problems with this number should do the same.

I received a call on my mobile today from this number. I didn't answer because I didn't recognise the number - but thought it was strange that they didn't leave a message. Googled the number and found this site. Have now stored the number in my phone as 'DO NOT ANSWER'. Thanks for all the warnings everyone!

01429868835 called me today on my mobile, I wasn't able to answer it in time, they then called my landline number shortly after. I was greeted by an extended period of silence, then the called disconnected the call. I returned the call, to be greeted by a male voice recording. They declared that they were called Respondez, operating on behalf of one of their clients. If I wished to receive no further contact, I would punch in my phone number.

Being the cautious person that I am, I searched google, and found this website here. One of the comments gave the phone number: 01429241400 so I called this number, which turns out to be the "hub" of the company. After speaking with a polite lady, and explaining my experience to her, she transferred the call to a gentleman from the Complaints department. After again repeating my experience, and providing the numbers that I were called on, I was informed that I would not receive any further contact from this number.

I hope by typing my experience here, others can follow the steps I took, to avoid being mis-led by those who claim it is a scam. This number is not a scam, it is a true and proper company who hold many clients financially.

This number called me 8 times in the pats week curiosity killed the cat and when i picked up is was a girl trying to sell me a 3 mobile contract.I must admit like all sales teams she talked the talk but i aint buying instead i told her to goole her number and read all the complaints they were getting.

I had a missed call and straight after the text to say so, I received a call from the above number.  He said he was from Vanquis and wanted to discuss card id theft.  I hung up.

I've just had a call on my mobi off them, rejected it as i was in a meeting and checked it out on here, main reason i checked it out is because i have not used this phone number for at least a year and had only given it back out to 3 people so i knew something it must be something a bit dodgy

received this call but ended up my phone went dead. Check on google and saw this. But one thing useful is I received another missed call with number 08000304909. Guess it may be related.

this number has called me 3 times. It's a local number to me so i picked up on the 3rd time, but there was no-one there so I hung up again.

Just got a call from these antisocial losers 17.40 Fri 8 Jan 2010. The thickie moron wage slave clown telephone jockey saddo said he was calling from Aqua credit card and asked me for personal details so I said no I don't give out personal details over the phone as there's so much fraud and there's no way he can prove who he is, asked him what he was selling but he refused and failed to answer and I told him to send his information in the post then I hung up. Tried the 01429 241400 number as listed above on this site (thanks) but it diverted then rang with no answer. What a bunch of [***]. Aqua fails again. Shame the useless failed government continues to fail to legislate against harassment spam phone calls in UK.

i received a call from this number today but couldnt answer it as i was driving. i rang it later that evening only to get a pre recorded message saying they were working on behalf of a client and if i wanted to stop these calls i have to type in my number. i hung up. it sounds very dodgy to me.

i agree Bob but if they are a legitimate companies they shouldnt use out sourced call centres as this causes upset to people who receive these calls as this thread shows. If they have to use out sourced call centres they should be clear who they are calling on the behalf of at the begining of the call therefore not scaring/upsetting genuine people.
