The Pensions Ombudsman and Pensions Regulator have been involved in this for a while (about 10 Months), unfortunately due to the nature of these organisations, they cant comment on the cases once they are involved. Please contact Jane Stephens, Senior Investigator, Pensions Ombudsman, and also contact The Pensions Regulator. Details and addresses are on previous posts. These organisations are the ones that can wield the most powers

I received that letter also, it was dated 8 August  but I got it two weeks later ? Did anyone else get it? I am just trying to work out why only a few were included ?

I haven't received any paperwork from them at all. And haven't heard from action fraud or pensions ombudsman either since all this started?

Thanks Karen, I am very late in realising this but am catching up very quick, spoken to a lot of people today and am starting to understand where we all are now.

We are in this together, all quite innocent and just wanting to do the best by our investments.
Quite a low time at the moment.

You're not alone mate..We're all in this together .The more of us there are the higher the chances of the authorities kicking some butt and hopefully getting our money back. It took me 20 years to build that pension just for those toe rags to (try)  steal it

Cheers Den, pretty much the same for me really, just hope that if not all at least some of it is salvageable, future looks pretty bleak without it. It definitely helps knowing others are out there fighting with you

Hi Jason I wouldn't wish this situation on anyone but it does make you (me) feel more hopeful knowing there are other innocent people mixed up in this..when it dawned on me what has happened it felt like the end of the world .couldve quite easily jumped under a bus
But so much info has been found out there is some hope ...financially the  future is  bleak without that money for me also

No absolutely, no decent human being would wish this on another would they, but it's good to not be alone in it. There doesn't seem a lot of help from the organisations you would expect to help at times like these, hopefully a lot is being done behind the scenes.

I've just received a letter from the ombudsman saying investigations have started...fingers crossed they uncover the ring leaders and get our money back. .it's gonna be a long road tho...

Did you listen to you and yours today , they named a lot of companies mentioned on this blog ie Sycamore, Jackson Francis, Portia etc and asked for victims to email them.
It could run into many millions and a few thousand people effected

Listened to it with interest and emailed Shari Vahl (presenter) to point out that Capita Oak was another one of these companies.
The whole situation is scandalous and cant see how all people will get money out of these crooks without bringing down the whole of storefirst

Thank god, a small light.

Simple searches have found most of the ringleaders, now the authorities are involved and with there powers of access to information these people will be caught.
