Craig and Alzie's posts suggest they've gone all the way through their "suckers lists" - their lists of names and phone numbers of people who might be suspectible to cold calls - and they've now started again from the top. Which is why some of the people they call have already been suckered.

Don't take this the wrong way but I do find this fun putting another perspective, I'm not trying to be argumentative or belittle anyone and at the end of the day my only interest was that leaving my things in storage with them is not a bad idea. But it is intriguing to see how people view what appears to be going on and make assumptions from that. As I've said before you may be correct but I am just looking at things with no hidden agenda other than my things are safe and secure.

But from what I know would I buy a storage pod, the answer is no. Is it because I don't think it is a good product, no as I've already said / implied I think it is the best self storage solution, certainly for me. So is it the returns I would get as an investor. I have no idea because I'm not inclined to research that side of things, why not ? Well because of internet blogs like this etc...... Yes I think I have a different picture of what is going on ie I don't think its a ponzi scheme, I think the Self storage industry has a vested interest in discrediting the business model etc..... I don't think it is a scam in that sense of the word. In other words I would not have the same concerns as many people on first impression, I would do more detailed due diligence but I would be concerned about my exit strategy, my ability to resell because there is definately an agenda to discredit the company. Would I choose to rent at Storefirst now, probably not I would simply rent with someone else ie there is more bad publicity now than there was then. So on one hand the publicity may be doing a great job BUT is that job simply satisfying the needs of the few to the disadvantage of the many ie is it making a legitimate business model unviable to the long term detriment of the majority who have invested in the model ?

Of course you guys will be 100% sure that you are doing the right thing, for you. Rightly or wrongly its obvious you will not change that and I'm 100% I won't change you mind, I'm not trying to. Time may tell that you where right but I keep coming back to, based on my own personal business experience that the business has / is being run to succeed, to grow.

I can then relate back to my own experience with the apartments I have just sold at a loss. I know I was oversold, I know in hindsight I should have said "hang on a minute does this feel right" but I did not. I also know if I held onto the assets that eventually, in 10 or 15 years I would get my money back. Was there fraud no. Was the business model different than it was sold, yes BUT the developers also thought that it would work, no one had a crystal ball, the market changed significantly.

Someone asked on another post something like "is the site busy, do I see other customers ?" Well the answer to that is yes. I visit the site about once a month and over the past 6 months it has definately got busier there. Everything says to me from a purely business point of view that every attempt is being made to make it work. Another example from last week when I visited is there had been a leak. Fortunately it had not affected my storage unit. Talking to the staff there it had affected one tenant and he had been paid out for the damage. There where contractors there working to get things back up to scratch. Would that really be going on if there was no value in spending the money to keep the business going.

At the end of the day I guess the safe bet for me would be to move my goods to another storage company, no hassle, no skin off my nose but would that mean that one of you would loose out on my rent ? Are you not shooting yourselves in the foot or at the very least affecting the ability for more of you to get a return. Again I accept I am assuming this is not just a total scam, maybe it is and they just keep your money but surely if it was as simple as that it would have been stopped. Its easy to check, you just ask them for proof they collect money in and pay it out ?

I don't know, I guess you have succeeded, I'll just move my stuff somewhere else. If everyone does that then even as a normal business it can't be viable. I hope thats what you want, it appears it is.

just proves that you are a plant; who would consider moving their property from one storage company to another based on what has been said on a public forum? The complaints here are on how the investment is marketed and sold, not how the facilities are for the renters.  Although had you listened to the last radio 4 show you would have heard about the obstructions in the storage pods and also of promotional rents of £1 a week.  Promotions like these were leaving the investors owing money rather than making a return.  Were you promised a guaranteed 8% return for the first two years on your apartments? that's how the pods were marketed.  As for a loss you should have a look at the auctions page on Pugh auctions for Manchester and leeds you will see from the legal documents how much of a loss is being made on these gold mines.

I suggest you listen to the radio 4 you and yours archives for more details on store first and how toby whittaker ran out of the back entrance when they tried to interview him.  Why doesn't he answer the questions R4 ask?

Hello Cribbage tom,i know that you are new to this Forum (if i am wrong i apologize). But i do reject you're use of the word suckered. I, along with a great Majority of investors in either Capita Oak and Store First were LIED TO, The So Called Contracts were manipulated and changed, and if like Me were Signed by a so called Authorized Signatory before i even saw the final Draft of the Contract. Also i was not cold called, i searched the net for a Product that suited my needs. The Contract i agreed to was not the Contract i was given, and that is what has i believe has happened to a lot of investors. My  possible loss is bad enough for me, but try and be a little more charitable to those that are in the same situation as Alzie's who could lose Hundreds of Thousands of Pounds. I have been trying to find anything that i can about this scheming Company for years, and i have found out a few things that could be useful to the appropriate authorities, i am not giving in and i urge every one to keep up the pressure on the top end of Store First, do not be fobbed off by any one and demand copies of all of your Contracts. Looking at TW and his past disasters with his Companies it would not surprise me that he has started moving all assets abroad and Park First may well be his next downfall.
This is all my own personal opinion, and as i said, do not just sit there and take it, FIGHT.

And remember that if you are part of the capita oak scheme you would have to take action together but if you have invested on your own then fight the people as hard as you can and good luck to you ,dont  give up.

I really cannot believe your many responses. It is a point of fact that capita oak invested 10 million pounds in store first.It is a point  of fact that store first agreed to pay 8 per cent up front for the first two years returns  to capita oak . It is a point of fact that store first did not pay that sum to capita oak ,they may have paid it to somewhere  or somebody else but certainly not to the correct people. Next point although not yet a point of fact is the current value of that 10 million could be nearer to zero than 10 million. Why on earth are you so vehemently defending and praising this company when many many people have possibly lost their life savings. For gods sake get your goods out and go elsewhere or come clean and say who you really are.
