This point the only good result would be to see anyone who talked people in to 'investing' in the pods behind bars.

I think Storefirst will struggle to win this as there is precedence in two other areas of business:

    1) When you rent out individual rooms in a "home of multiple occupancy" the liability for council tax is with the owner of the property.

    2) When you rent out fully serviced offices in a "business centre" type situation the liability for the rates falls with the owner of the property.

In both cases they recover it from the leasee by adding it to the rental fees so I am sure this is what Storefirst will do.

In the case of serviced offices, with which I have some experience, the rates bill is usually for the whole building and divided up according to square footage.

One is the Hotel room investment scam,  you buy a room (pod) and the hotel (storage) management company rents it out for guaranteed return. It's an overhead passed on thro rent or room rate.

Am trying to advise you to be careful if you receive anything purporting to be from the inland revenue simply because there is a country wide scam going on at the moment .

Certainly do not think  I am being impolite ,all I am trying to do is to point out certain situations to you but if that is being impolite then I will not help at all . Some of you people are so touchy!
