Anyone taking bets , after that radio show , that Whittaker will do a runner too just like the accountants in Lord St?
He was the landlord of the firm that took the rent and 30% of the money. Coincidence? Well done BBC.

Am just thinking this is (or should be) so simple.  The people behind Transeuro Worldwide just pay all the money back and Store First just sell the units back.  Put all the victims back in the position they should have been in before they were defrauded and everyone is happy.   The negligent parties make a claim on their professional indemnity insurance and the fraudsters go to jail.  That is how it should be in a perfect world.  But we all know it is not a perfect world.  Much will happen over the next few days.  Fraudsters watch out!

Talked to Lawyer replies to den
I am a Capita Oak member and have been in contact with a top pensions lawyer through a friend who is a partner in a big law firm. I asked him to listen to the programme and have been in contact with him this afternoon. He says undoubtedly fraud has been committed by the trustees, and should , if not already in progress, be an immediate police investigation. So the fraudsters be warned  cooperate fully and pay what has been stolen or face prospect of years in prison

Thankfully the government and authorities are now getting on top of this as its becoming a major embarrassment to them (Regulator, FCA ). Now all coming to a head

Den, I think You and Yours just caught out someone on a bit of a porky. TW told Xray that he did not know what happened to the money. He paid over 30 million quid to the firm he does not know that has an office in one of his buildings, so he does no checks on his tenants?  Did he just feel generous or did he have a contractual relationship with the firm he does not know and I wonder if a firm of lawyers drew up that contract? Does he really not know who he is dealing with, not quite the same as buying a stranger a pint in the pub is it?

Question for Metis lawy replies to Paul S
While you are there, can you ask Metis which individual was responsible at the trustees or whatever you call them for giving the ok for them to enter into such a dreadful deal for the pension holders? What checking did they do to make sure we did not pay 30% over the odds and then have another 16% nicked? What did we pay 5% of the fund for? Good advise? That 5% fee should be paid back to start with then, what Angie said.

Yep started a story and didn't see it thro for whatever reason, guess the 'Tw at'  at store first has good lawyers.
Info from other blogs warning of this has been removed, MSE for one talked of Surveyors who had links to his last failed venture, funnily that was 100 M. Likes nice round figures I guess.

My suggestion is that there are varying degrees of guilty parties here - some out and out thieves and fraudsters, and some just grubby opportunists who made a few quick bucks and didn't care whom they harmed.  It would be good if the lesser ones came out and told the truth for once instead of hiding behind a screen of smoke and mirrors.  It is now all going to come out and the lies that the various parties have told on this forum and in communications will be exposed, so there is no point keeping up the "it wasn't me, it was the other guys" act.  The lies will be exposed and the fraudsters are definitely going to jail.  Those responsible for this will be made to pay.  So this would be a good time for everyone to start telling the truth.  If it has to be dragged out of them it will be worse for them.  I have been trying to work out how the BBC found out about the relationship between TW and TW and my guess it was an insider.  Insiders can often blow the lid off the dirty secrets - wouldn't you agree Stephen?

A friend of mine has just shown me this, he worked in Dubai for a well known car rental firm.
This Stephen guy worked with a crew in Dubai that did a runner when my ex-boss's money went west (Angry Sth African who lost a fortune in some Ponzi fraud called MMS). They all ran off to Eastern Europe  and set up again and he told me that they worked with this pension guy called Stephen Ward to sell offshore pensions. Get a private eye on this lot, it seems all connected.

Yep, the infamous Stephen Ward.  Partner of Sam Instone of AES Financial Services in Dubai.  All roads lead back to Moraira in Spain and Dubai in UAE.  Spreads out from there like cancer.

I don't know much about AES but they have been doing lots of seminars and event sponsoring in UAE. They advice people to move pensions to QROPS, in fact every Tom, Dick and Harry in finance does and so I cannot single out them. The promise of tax free income in retirement is just bonkers as the Brits don't retire in UAE. I don't think AES has anything to do with this though.
