Right let's have a good Xmas, and new year.leave the accusations till after then let's give Brian and metis a chance what have we to lose,I believe they are working on our behalf no matter what anyone else thinks,I've spoken to both and they both seem genuine and reasonable so GIVE then a chance if they are proven to be dis-honest and lying to us then we can pick up wher we left off when that happens.
I for one believe in metis law and from my one conversation with Brian am prepared to listen and wait to see what he comes up with.
After all if this turns out to be a scam,a few more weeks won't matter
So let's all enjoy December Xmas and the new year see what 2015 brings, you never know Brian and Metis may sort it and  I believe they are trying to

Ok.. what do you think of the chances of us getting our money back? I want to give you a chance Brian but not only have I lost (presently) my money also my ability to trust . .people are slinging the mud at Angie but she has moved us on to where we are today..people posting who maybe wouldn't have if they hadn't had their cages rattled. It would be good if we could all see 'the whites of everyone's eyes' in a meeting definitely

I think the word "discredit" needs to be examined.  Telling the truth and the indisputable facts is not discrediting - it is telling it as it is.  There is no point doing things just to be popular or liked - the facts are the facts; the evidence is the evidence.  Mr. Downs is instructed by Christopher Payne who took 451k from the Capita Oak members.  Metis Law are instructed by Christopher Payne/Imperial and they are putting their loyalty to Payne before their obligation to the Capita Oak members.  Which is to make a claim on their professional indemnity insurers.  There is a lot of twisting of the truth and the facts going on here.  It is a fact that Downs is in league with Payne and Perkins/Fowler.  He can say what he likes and try to convince people all day long he is trying to help the members.  But what he is actually trying to do is to protect the fraudsters, not the victims.  Downs is acting for the very people who stole the Capita Oak members' money.  Thurlstone was an integral part of Capita Oak.  Does Downs really think we are all that naive?  Of course he knows/knew about it - as did Metis Law.  They paid 100k to Thurlstone.

What have you got to lose? Time and that is what scammers need.
No idea if you have any funding, but you need a totally independent accountant and an independent law firm to look at this urgently. If you are relying on advice from firms that were in the centre of this at outset, I suspect there will be a poor outcome.

you see what i mean  i am not in league with anyone all i can do is to assure and reassure yoy that i am working for the members and only the members  the scheme was set up and the members paid into it  the members agreed that 5 percent would be deducted as an admin fee  the original amount less the 5 percent  was paid to metis law  and they paid the monies int the store first investment  this all adds up no involvement with thurlestone at all  no scam no fraud  no criminal activity   all these points are factual  i have all the bank statements angie brooks does not  please continue to be as patient as you have been i promise you i will see this through but all this nonsense and lies must cease as i said  i work for the members

So it is normal then for a pension arrangement to offer us 5% loans as a package that is not a package after all. There is no collusion with the loan arrangement, it was just a coincidence that it was offered and conditional upon (Yeah, conditional meaning no transfer, no loan) a transfer? It is normal not to get a statement telling me what my pension is worth, normal to have my request to transfer ignored? It is normal for my investment returns on my investment to be paid to someone in Gibraltar, I don't recall saying that was ok. It is normal for someone in Dubai who, from what I have read, has no experience to be a trustee of a pension thousands of miles away. It is normal to put all the pension eggs in one basket and leave 300 people in the hands of a man that has a string of dissolved firms?
So, my unit or units or whatever percentage of one I might have is being rented out and the rent is being added to my pension pot?

I am safe to assume that HMRC won't come after me for 55% of the loan that was in no way connected with this arrangement?
If it does not get in the way of someones Xmas, could whoever is actually running this pension give us answers then?

Not looking to insult anyone. Correct, I do not have all the facts.

I started out with what is now Baker Tilly. If there was a hint of a suspicion of a conflict of interest - even if there was not- clients were offered an independent accountant. If we prepared the accounts, an independent auditor would be appointed.

My vested interest, I suspect the same as Paul T. To get a clean, trustworthy financial services sector. The fees for the FSCS are now beyond a joke, the massive increases largely caused by failed unregulated investements (Harlequin, EEA Arch Cru, UCIS and the list goes on). A large proportion of these are pension related.
  • But thurlstone was part of the package Brian ?

How can any of you be hoodwinked by this Puppet he was instructed by the puppet Payne who's master are BILL PERKINS AND ALAN FOWLER.

Don't you forget that Perkins and Fowler are the shadow directors of imperial and TKE and this Downs is employed by the same people.

Downs has a history of dealing with fraudsters.

You will all see the damming evidence the P.I's are collecting.

One thing for sure Mr Downs you are taking direction from Perkins and it will be shown with hard evidence can you at least admit to that if you are being so upfront about everything

Sorry mate, but I am all out of chat. Time for action. I have had to explain this to my wife, the fact that if something happens to me the fund she was expecting to cover the mortgage won't be there. This week I got a broker to sort out some life insurance that is the same cover as the value I put into the scheme and it was not cheap.
All I want, no ifs and no buts, is a statement telling me what I own and what it is worth and a statement of what I can move to my new pension. Pretty sure that is what everyone else wants. If that is sorted, I will put the 55% tax down to my own stupidity for moving the pension in the first place.
