- tracey replies to FlyingDutchmanthey might very well be genuine but the only way out of debt apart from paying it off urself is to go bankrupt, thats what these companies want to offer u and it will cost u, stay well clear, citizens advice will always help people out with debt problems for free,
- Radgie GadgieIronic, the message when you call them back on 0151-909-1965, tells you to register with the TPS to stop all sales and marketing calls. Well, not only are we registered with the TPS, we're ex-directory as well. So how do these jokers get away with it ? Why don't BT, TPS, OfCom, etc., get off their back-sides and do something about it ? Well it's all about money! Selling lists of contact numbers is big business. Selling call-blocking / screening kit is big business. Just wait 'til one of those t*ssers calls me in person; I keep a whistle by the phone........
- Caller: Who knows, they never tell you!
- Call type: Telemarketer

- WhatwillthenexttrickbeThis seems a new twist....they indicated we had opted into this type of service!!!!
This we never have done, and our number being TPS registered.....liars!!!
Will report to ico in the normal way....with a recommendation that callers making this claim should say where they got the information/permission from at the start of any call. If not the call should be illegal and the perpetrator fined/closed down.
Misrepresention, data protection breaches ...where will they go next.- Caller: FS: Overpayment/debt reclaim
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KrockAn automated message expressing concern that I haven't yet claimed for my recent injury. I tell real callers I charge £10 per minute which gets rid of them pretty quickly but I'm not going to press 5 or 9 to pay the spammer!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- tim replies to Jon Aif you buy something on line they sell your no. argos is the worse for it
- Data BrokerData is bought and sold every day in the UK and can be from upgrading a mobile phone contract to holding loyalty cards and there is really no way to stop this happening unless you want to live without any means of contact.
A lot of the Company's that buy data do use a genuine source and the data they use that contains your number can be passed through 100 plus Company's and being realistic there is not a way to stop all marketing being received.
The best solution is to ignore any calls and sms messages and try not to add any personal information online when joining sites and or shopping as this is where the vast majority is harvested to sell on again and again - The worst culprits for selling on personal data are Amazon and the compare websites for all things financial from car insurance to loan ones - I suggest if you choose to use these sites simply alster any personal info and this will save a portion of the spam you get. - GRP47This lot called this morning and a recorded voice said that according to their records, I had an accident recently and could claim £3500 compensation. Rubbish!! According to my records, I did not have an accident. The trouble with recorded messages is that you cannot argue with them.
- KittyRocksAutomated message telling me I'm owed money for a personal injury claim! Didn't let it finish as it doesn't apply to me, just hung up!
- Susanna SmithThis number calls me regularly, only once did I answer it to see who it was, when the automated speech commenced I cancelled the call. Have tried to block the number on mobile, but it still gets through.

- Caller: Automated Sales
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Data Broker replies to anon| 1 replyYour son is getting calls as the number he has would have been previously owned by another person and when a number is canceled they would put this back through the networks as a new number hence why your son is getting these calls.
There is no way to really stop these and even if you change his number the most likely event will be another one that was previously owned - My suggestion is to speak with as many of the callers as possible and ask that they put his number on a DNC ( Do Not Contact ) List and also explain that he is only 12 years old.
I do also know the actual person who is behind these calls and if you fail to resolve my issue Adam then I will be listing your full Company name, mobile, landline plus email address very shortly.
You know who I am Adam so I suggest you resolve my issue swiftly. - gsreceived an automated call, decided to receive it and when I complained about them they hung up!
- Call type: Debt collector
