Automated message stating I have 'opted in' for the call.  NO I DID NOT!!!!  I am XD and registered with the TPS - why do these calls still keep coming - they should be fined for making unsolicited calls!

I want my number removing IMMEDIATELY, as I have a family member that is not well and thes calls and annoying!

For SEVEN YEARS this number has rang and asked for Mrs Fowler.  She's NEVER EFFIN LIVED HERE.  STOP RINGING ME.

I thought I would call back and see if it was anyone we deal with (having opted out) but it just says "the number you have dialled as not been recognised".

I am supposed to be ex directory but still get these annoying calls all the time.

There is one thing you and others should be aware of, never, ever respond by pressing any number they ask you to. Although most of these calls are sales based, there are some hoax calls that say, eg: please press 9 for so and so, if you wish to unsubscribe etc etc press 5 or whatever. If you press any of the numbers it can link you to premium based lines sometimes costing £9/10 per MINUTE & even if you then hang up they have access to your account & ring international calls from it. You face a hefty bill.

So, the answer is, do nothing except hang up then you will be safe. Frustrating, but that is the answer

I received a call from this number today. As I don't recognise it I didn't bother to answer. I always say if a call is important a message will be left.

I am now making a note of all these unwanted calls and when the time is right I will forward these to either ICO or Ofcome whichever is appropriate.  Would be interesting to see how many duplicate calls I receive before I report them.

Received this message 2 times now also from 01519091965, pity they cannot be stopped.

Didn't answer, fed up with these calls

Fed up with these callers.  Went ex dir to have peace from them that was a waste of time.  Gets me how they got my mobile as well.  These pests need exterminating.

This load of cretins wont give up. Tps useless. Goverment does nothing makes you wonder maybe somebody in power making money from this. They have been caught with their hands in the pot before.

Same thing a couple of minutes ago.  Interesting that Consumers' Assocation were on the radio a few days ago talking about this.  The advice they gave was "register with the TPS" - we've heard that before and it doesn't make a scrap of difference to these unregulated loads of cr*p.  I'll report this one to the ICO as per usual - eventually if their system gets overloaded maybe someone will do something, but thinking about it technically, I can't for the life of me see what they can do.  I can't not answer calls where the number is withheld as I have someone very ill in the house, and frequently health workers need to call me and they need to withhold their number understandably.

My simple solution. with no offensive language either, so it is safe to read on.....
BT ansaphone connects after 7-8 rings. and I normally get a message left.
My BT phone has a caller display function ie name of person calling.
Possibly solution.
If you don't recognise the number IGNORE IT.
SCAM calls only ring approx 5 times as they don't want to kick into the ansaphone of which their call might be charged. IGNORE IT. OR .... DELETE ANY MESSAGE LEFT
If you don't recognise the number and it is important, the caller should leave a message, as a matter of politeness.
REMEMBER
If the call is important to you, the caller will leave a message.

very odd also when it rang the number came up in my caller display but when i hit dial number it gives that funny tone and says number not recognized strange because it was recognized when it rang me !!

typical 'you have had an accident and we can get you money' message. Rang it asking for name and line managers name and the name and addres of company. An indian accented voice called himself rajah and was a it non plussed by my interrogation of him and the controler cut him off before he could divulge further info!

I think you will find that although if you ring the premium rate number you may have to pay for the call you amke they cannot access your account without a password so if in doubt simpley change your password.

Get these people daily; I'm an unlisted number Wondering what happens if I phone them back...

I have reported it to the Information Commissioner's Office on this website http://www.ico.gov.uk Our number is registered on TPS so hopefully the calls will stop.
