Got this call today and it said press 5 as I had elected to receive calls from mthis numbe3r. I had not
Please can anyone come up with a system that does not cost anything and that you get get these calls barred from your landline.

Just had a call from this number. On principle we always look at our caller display (free service with e.g. BT) and if the number is withheld, unavailable, international or simply an unknown number like this one we don't answer it. If anyone really wants us they can leave a message! Same with our front door - we don't open to anyone unknown.

Told me I was due fora big claim for personal injury from an accident I have never had.

5 seconds into these robots voices, my phone is put down immediately. But it's always when I'm in the shower or having dinner !

Really, consumers ought to be able to type any number into their landline phones and block. Currently only smart phones do this and even then – users are limited to just 10 numbers. Phone manufacturers need to come up with a feature which blocks withheld or international numbers, as default if required. As the person above said, the only defense you have these days is caller display or an answer phone. There must be some kind of intrinsic association between telecoms firms and manufacturers, as well as companies - or this problem would have disappeared years ago, with these idiots finding new ways to pester the general public.

Had this message on my answer phone: "This is an important message. You are receiving this call because you have opted in to receiving these types of calls from the financial services industry"  Fed-up with these calls.  And if i'm not around to pick up the phone they take up massive space on my answer phone!  Get rid of this number!

Usual spam call - as other complainers.

Got a call about an hour ago and had actually given a friend's address with my 'nom de plume' He asked me if it's double barelled - but I said it would be fine if he would call me by my initials of TPS...

All theold crap about me signing and consenting to such calls then came out and I told him in no uncertain terms that if my number is called again, I will give an address where I will receive their details (so I can find out who they are) and will then put their material along with the call recording out to the ICO for remedial action.

I think I actually made the caller realise just how close he was to getting caught in as much as his stuff was very nearly in the post to my nom-de-plume

Just got a call from this mob. TPS is useless. They admit as much on their website as they have no teeth at all. On my phone, I can store a number, add it to a group and then mark numbers in that group as 'Do not disturb' ie. the phone doesn't ring. Not perfect but at least I don't hear the f****** calling me anymore. Started storing them as Za, Zb, etc. Up to Zk so far but no doubt I'll be adding to it as I seem to get a new number almost every week. I wish the powers that be took this more seriously. I don't think they have the remotest idea how enraging this can be judging by the platitudes on their websites.

A recorded message trying to sell me debt reduction services.Called again an hour later with another recorded message trying to persuade me to commit a crime, to claim compensation for a non existent injury.

Don't waste your time with the totally useless ICO, they seem to be in cahoots with  the scammers and never take any action. All they ever sat is that it is impossible to trace calls.It is not, they are lying, but they are too lazy to do so.

They say that "honest, trust-worthy" companies don't cold-call.  Stated this to the idiot that rang me from this number.  Unlike some people on here I actually got to speak to a real "person".  They asked for me by name and then called me something I care not to repeat when I stated "We are TPS registered, why are you ignoring this, and trust-worthy companies don't cold-call"..  I then asked to speak to "her" supervisor or someone above her, with regard the language she used when I stated I wasn't interested anyway she put the phone down on me!!!

This is really starting to annoy the nation now. Please, no really please, get these unbelievable money grabbing, low life, despicable dregs of nature to stop this cold  calling trash. Do they honestly think that we wouldn't have done something about getting our own owed money sorted.

The above number did not call from KEITH in SCOTLAND, but AMERICA,somewhere between Washington and Richmond i do know as i once lived in KEITH, and there are no road with that name there ,ido hope this will be of some help.
