I disagree. If I have the phone number I will report it. If no one reports the numbers then there is zero percent chance of anything being done. Every number I have reported to the ICO has been successfully submitted.

2 calls today, luckily I was out - answer machine was on but no message left. I have not opted in to receive unwanted calls from leeches so how did they get my ex-d number? Shower of absolute a**holes. Boil the b*****ds in oil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say.

As with everyone else, I got a recorded msg saying I'd opted in to receive debt info, when I hadn't.

The more people report them, the quicker they'll be closed down (or unfortunately more likely the quicker they'll just change to using a different number, but meanwhile hopefully there'd be a couple of days' peace before the new number's up & running!).

I had a call from this number yesterday (28 March).  It was an automated messaged about debt.  What makes them think that I have ever been in debt. We have been registered with TPS for years.  Also had a call this week from 01614436658.

TPS does not cover automated calls, it says so on their website.  This type of call should be reported to the Information Commissioner's Office.  It's easy to do on their website and you don't even need the caller's name, only the number.  The ICO has more "teeth" than TPS and can fine these nuisances up to £500,000. They recently fined two men £440,000 for setting up an automated call system and last week fined one of the worst cold callers, DM Design, £90,000.  It therefore pays to complain.

I opted in to receive these calls, did I? I seem to remember I opted out by joining up to the TPS!

Don't respond, simply report online to ICO.  The more complaints they get, the more likely they'll actually do something.  If you get the same call from the same number, keep reporting it to the ICO.  It may be a pain in the nether regions, but doing nothing means nothing gets done.

Same as everyone else!!  Did not sign up for information about financial services.  So annoying!!

I have two telephone lines on the same telephone exchange, both ex-directory, and both registered with TPS, the numbers in numerical terms are over 7800 apart from each other and yet they managed to call both my numbers one on 25th March and one on 27th March. Unbelievable, but this is no coincidence, the only logical explanation is that they must be calling consecutive numbers simultaneously and working their way through entire ranges of phone numbers from xx0000 through to xx9999 on every exchange, which surely can't be legal to do. But if you call the number back it is blocked from receiving incoming calls.

sick to death of these callers trying to scam us it needs to be stopped, they pester you day and night, and when you have someone sick in hospital your forced to answer the phone thinking something is wrong and all you get is these pest ridden adverts. NEED TO BE STOPPED
