Report a phone call from 01592642600 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- 01592 642600Received 2 phone calls from 01592 642600, which I immediately recognised as a Kirkcaldy area code, as I live in Fife. First time they hung up just after I'd answered. Second time they called (just 5 mins later). They asked if I was Mrs Forsyth - I said no (I'm MISS Forsyth!). They then asked if they could speak to Mrs or Mr Forsyth, to which I replied there's not a Miss or Mr Forsyth that live here (after all, my parents don't live with me!).
Was interesting to read another gentleman's comment on here, that they are just looking to confirm names against phone numbers, for whatever their future scam is! - John ProudlockThis number just called.Wouldn't answer straight questions from me about themselves.Eventually hung up. I am supposed to be TPS also.
- robsaid the name of the company too quickly, was offering £100o home improvement voucher, i asked again who was calling, but he asked if i was the home owner, i said no we rent - he hung up!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MariReceived a phone call at 1858 hours this evening. When asked who was calling, identified himself as from DM Design. Asked for my husband. When told he was out asked "Where?"; "When will he be back?"; "Home drunk?". At that point I hung up.
- Caller: DM Design
- Call type: Telemarketer
- 01592 642600Phoned this pm saying they are Butler and Carr and some c**p about a voucher - wanted to confirm my name. Asked them how they had my number (the name was right and so was the address, but I'm not ex-directory) and said 'it's on our system'. Asked them to explain how their 'system' had my number and they hung up.
- Caller: Butler and Carr
- stanasked for me then rang off.
- RobertHad a call from this number a few minutes ago, they are now claiming to be Harvey & Grant and are offering £1000 in vouchers, just want to ask a couple of questions. Said I was not interested and the lady hung up.
- Caller: Harvey & Grant
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JennyOnce again, the usual rude hanging up response when you ask them to repeat who they want to talk to as they speak in such hurried tones. To dial their phone number puts you through to a fax machine? there seems to be no available connecting number to phone them back on.
- Caller: 01592642600
- Bob| 1 replyJust want to point out that this company employs a lot of youth in the Fife area. Which would you prefer: a couple of cold calls a month, or your taxes going towards jobseekers allowance for them and a bunch of unruly teenagers on your streets? Just saying.
- Caller: DM Design
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Ben replies to BobOK Bob, so I could employ lots of people to burgle you, to set fire to your house, and to vandalise your property. That would keep them off the dole, so that would be OK with you, would it Bob? Do some joined-up thinking, eh, Bob. Just saying.
- BobI agree that DM Design shouldn't force employees to phone TPS numbers. However, in this economy these are some of the few jobs around I don't think people should be actively seeking to rid youths of employment opportunities. There are plenty of worse illegal things they could be doing - drugs and knife crime come to mind. Anyway, all the employees despise calling TPS numbers and are unable in any way to avoid calling these numbers. Therefore, it would be reasonable if people would stop harassing them about how they got their numbers.

- Bob| 3 repliesBen, are you seriously suggesting that a sales pitch is as bad as burglary? We live in a capitalist society. Get over it.
- Ben replies to Bob| 1 replyBob, we are parents with young babies who get woken up and disturbed by these calls.
We have elderly parents who get very frightened by these calls.
We have terminally ill friends and relatives, and we're waiting anxiously by the phone for that dreaded call.
We are airline pilots who work irregular hours and by LAW we are required to have sufficient rest and sleep before a long and demanding duty. Google CAP 371. DM Design disturb our mandatory rest. How happy are you to be flown by me after I have been woken up these idiots, and I've had zero effective sleep before flying you and your family off on your holiday? You'd be the first to complain if your pilot announced that he was desperately tired and fatigued just before starting engines to fly you away, wouldn't you?
Bob, it doesn't matter WHAT the reason is that we have chosen to be TPS registered - that it OUR business, NOT yours or DM Designs. All we expect is for them to respect the law and respect our wishes not to be disturbed by them. And as for the reports of being disturbed then sworn at by them...
Sure you're not so stupid that you think all this is OK? It appears that you are happy to have your family flown by a dangerously tired pilot just to keep a feral street kid off the dole.
So Bob, if these kids are given training by DM Design that it is acceptable, even a joke, to harrass and disturb other law abiding citizens, then what sort of lawless generation are we bringing up, sins of the father passed to the son, etc?
As I said, do some joined up thinking, Bob. Somehow, given your illogical argument, I rather think you've been trained by DM Design and the groping, lawless Donald MacLeod.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard this cheap-as-chips flight to booze-land for you to get slaughtered on cheap alcohol. I am desperately tired after being woken up by DM Design earlier on, but I hope I’ll be awake enough to make a successful landing. But in any case it should be OK because by putting you at risk I’m keeping a feral low-life street kid off the street. I’m pleased to have your full support of my charitable agreement to operate this flight for you today, because Bob thinks it will be OK. Do your seat belts up tightly now, and pray to your God for the good luck we’ll need.” - Ben replies to BobBob, if it worries you being flown by a tired pilot after he was disturbed by DM Design - GET OVER IT!
- Fiona replies to Mr xWell, if you're the sort of person they employ, that's enough reason to hang up on them. "Saddos" for objecting to illegal spam called?
- Oldie71Several calls recently. Yesterday 7/9/11 my wife 'allegedly' gave our postcode as an invitation for them to call back with the details for a voucher for a bedroom refit. She did no such thing, although she may have confirmed the postcode details.
Today, 8/9/11, at around 10:38, my wife answered a call from them - they would not take NOT INTERESTED for an answer and continued to harass her until she handed the phone to me. I asked the caller who was calling - a Scottish male voice said DM Designs - he repeated the pitch he had given my wife. I told him that we were not interested, we are both in our 70s, have a nice kitchen and a fitted bedroom, have NO intention of buying anything and have NO money.
At this point, he then accused ME of being abusive and hung up.
When I checked the number he had called from, 01592642600, this is a FAX number and does not accept incoming calls.
JUST KEEP THEM TALKING - its their phone bill! (unless they have a scam on that!).
Ofcom informed!- Caller: DM Designs

- homeownerA lady phoned and asked if I was a home owner,I replied I am ? What are you selling I asked? I dont know was the reply!!!!!!! So why are you ringing me I asked, I dont know was the reply again. With that I had the caller put down the phone.
- scamspotterThere is a really simple method of dealing with these calls, when they say "Hi is that Mr/Mrs/Miss Bloggs" you simply reply politely, "just a sec I'll go and get him/her for you" you carefully place the telephone receiver down by the phone and just leave it. They are waiting for somebody who isn't going to come to the phone, after 3 minutes don't even check and see if they are still there, replace the handset. If you're using a cordless phone do make sure you don't flatten your batteries. Also if you have a posh phone where caller display numbers can be programmed in, add them and give them the name nuisance, save yourself the hassle of even having to answer to them.

- quinReceived a phone call yesterday saying my name was in a prize draw and another one today saying I had won £1000 voucher to do up a bathroom, bedroom or kitchen, said they would come and see me on Sunday. If he calls at the door he will be given his marching orders.
- jeff replies to Mr xWhy should i be polite when they are making illegal cold calls they are unethical and deserve the rudeness for not having the decency to provide their call centre with a valid list of numbers not on the TPC list
