They just called I didn't recognise the number so I didn't answer it.  Then checked on the web and read this.  I always do this with unrecognised numbers.   I can always call back anyone genuine.

I had a phone call from this number today, and they hang up on me. I tried to ring them back but the number is always engaged. I really do not know how these people get hold of my number in the first place. I know this number before and it is from some insurance company, they rang me so many times before, when I told them I am not interested, they just keep on ringing you. I have noted their number down if they do ring me again, I am going to ring BT so I can get that number stopped from ringing my house. I have more important things to do in my life than talk to them, I have said to them so many times I am not interested in your financial services, but they just do not know what that means. If I do get a call from them again BT can deal with them.

Received call asking for someone with my surname. As there are five males at the house with the same surname I asked which one, the female gave my name and when I said "speaking" she hung up. Wish I had a job that easy.

been called by this number on several occasions, when answer phone kicks in they hang up. tried calling them back and its constantly engaged......

Been getting phone calls from the same number. No one on the other end when I pick up . Getting bored with them now . Its a dialer . Looked around the net and came up with a website for the number .....www.financialconnections.co.uk.
I think they are telly marketers

Several calls a day they are a company called financial Connections regarding life insurance. Keep telling them I'm not interested but they keep calling.

Had 4 calls from them yesterday, missed the first one, then looked the number up on here.  Won't answer now.  Had another 2 already this morning!!!

They called me today asked for me.. apparently a guy called darren from 'EXPRESS DIRECT' but when asked what it was regarding he hung up! my number is ex directory too??!! its my first call but am pretty freaked out!

I've had 2 call today from 1060645839. But if I don't recognise the number I don't answer. If its important people will leave a mesage. Like your style David Watson. From what I've read here I'm gona be expecting a few more. I might just answer and get a few more swear words in for you Shady.

Had numerous calls from these tossers in the last few days.  Started off by saying that they wanted to speak to me or my friend, both of whose surnames they could not pronounce despite several attempts.  Now I am getting 3-4 silent calls every day.  Really tired of it all.  Will be doing what is suggested on here and emailing the police and the TPS.  Thanks for this thread guys - it's at least nice to know I'm not going through this alone!

I received a phone call from these guys yesterday and after reading all your comments I decided to take action. I have assembled as much information as I can about this company/companies and sent it to financial reporters at three different national newspapers. I have also contacted Trading Standards who assure me that they are probably using Automated Dialling rather than having individual phone numbers. This would explain why there is no-one there when you answer your phone.

What I would say, though, is do NOT respond to the link posted on 25/9/2008 by someone claiming to represent Amanico. This company changed it's name at Companies House on 29/8/2008 to Xpress Direct Ltd. Do not allow access to your computer to someone claiming to represent a company which clearly does not exist.

Some girl from this number just asked to speak to my wife's first name - that's highly unusual for a selling call. The woman said she was calling from "Financial Connections". That's when I knew it was a garbage call. I've now put this number into my house phone memory as "scam caller" so I can just ignore it or hang up next time I get a call from them. Quietly pleased with myself. Then I can online and found this website - I reckonm I now qualify as a double smart-[***]!! :-)

Just had another silent call this evening.  I'm a freelance writer by trade. I never fill in surveys and if I enter competitions, I always make sure that I tick the 'do not pass on details to third parties' box.
