it sounds more like one of those calls that charge you a BIG ammounts if you pick up your phone! Ignore phone calls liek that cus otherwise you might have a heart attack when you receive your monthly bill

Just had my first call from this number and they hung up as soon as I answered. Being vigilant I checked the number on google and found this forum on the problem. I also hate calls like this, so will gather as much info as possible if they call again and actually talk to me.

this number has been calling me to but the [***] hang up straight away how strange WIERDOS

I am fed up with this number calling at least 4 times per day and evening, even into the late evening whenever you answer no one speaks = these people need to be reported for annoying people - who are they?

I get frequent calls from this number, on the mobile I use for "on-calls" (I am a theatre nurse), the mobile is a number I don't give out (mostly because I don't know it anymore, as long as the hospital know it, I'm happy)
Mostly they hang up as soon as they answer, but the other day they actually spoke, and asked for me by name, when I responded by asking who was calling, they hung up!!
It's getting quite annoying now-as I need that number to...erm...get calls that potentially save peoples lives!

I received a call from BT yesterday on a number that's been bugging me for a couple of weeks.  I asked the guy to take my number off his list and he said he couldn't but directed me to:
www.dma.org.uk.
He also gave me an e-mail address which is for TPS. When I told him I'm already a member of TPS he said he'd request to have my number removed from their call list.  
When on the DMA web site I also found a number for Silent Call Guard - they are supposed to deal with call centres who call you and you end up with no-one on the other end when you answer.  I haven't tried it yet but the number is 0844 372 2325.

i keep getting 0160645839 calling me,sometimes several times a day,when i answer it there is no one there,there is no hanging up sound just nothing,it is very annoying

if you live near here please go and burn the office down, also if the number they call you on is registered with the telephone preference service then lodge a complaint and they get fined £10,000   and you get five of that for compensation

just noticed that above these few post ritchie has found the website, go to it and phone that number and abuse them! they have a fax number too which im about to send them fifty sheets of blank paper through just because i can!!!

i've just tried phoning this company www.financialconnections.co.uk on 01324 620211 but suprise no answer. must be too busy phoning people up then hanging up on them

i would email them but then i would just get even more bloody spam mail. i even missed an important call for an interview yesterday because i have given up answering the phone in a fear that i may becharged if i answer. [***]...

I have had the same problem for 2 days now. First day I answered they hung up, second day asked for me personally and then hung up.

I just had a call from this number,they asked to speak to me in person,but they hanged up when I said "speaking". I called them back but the number is busy all the time. ??????

this number has rung me 4 times today asking for myself when ever i say it is they hang up. i have tried ringing them back all day but it keeps say busy any ideas????????

I had 4 calls today and yesterday from that number, so annoying but I have the advantage I am deaf, wont be able to hear them, when I answered they hung up, hear the dialing tone. So annoying when I have a baby son having a nap and this number rings my number and wake baby up. Pissed me off, and how did they get my number from as I am on ex directory. I have reported it to BT.

Best for you all, is to report this number to BT and they will deal with them.

Had around 4 calls from this number over 3 days, missed them all, too slow to get to the phone. Just called them back and got a message saying it's about my insurance and if i don't want to be called again phone an 0845 to be removed from list. Will this make them money if I call it? If so they can get lost!!!

Got a call from this number today

I've just received a call from them on my mobile too, and as soon as I answered the phone (saying "hello") they hung-up.

What is the point? ...what is their problem?

I also tried phoning back using works land-line but it's always engaged.

This is the second call from this number - very annoying, as when you answer the call, it hangs up!

The Government must do something about these unsolicited calls - however, they are mostly full of hot air!
