This number calls the house 4 times a day!! i dont answer and have resorted to turning my answer machine on so the phone only rings 3 times, ( not suprisingly they dont leave a message!)i work nights and am fed up with these nuisance calls!!! i dont suppose they would want me to call them at 1/2/3 and 4 in the morning!!!! just let me sleep!!

After reading through some of the pages i have tried the automated message service mentioned on 08450560451 and entered my details which says "has insured removal of my contact details..." we shall see!! anything for a good sleep :}

Jim, we don't have a choice who we phone.  We have an automatic dialler that can have at any one time up to 40,000 records in it.  Silent calls occur when the dialler rings the number but there are no operators available to take the call, its not that we're being rude and doing it on purpose.  We are also not responsible for where the data comes from, the first we see of it is when it pops up on our screen when you answer your phone at home.

If a request is made to be taken off the calling list then it will be dealt with within 24 hours, HOWEVER, it is entirely possible that you could be on our database twice, which could result in repeat calls after you ask to be removed.

As for phoning at inconvenient times, I'm sorry but we are not all mind readers and we certainly don't keep track of all your shift patterns or when you feed your baby etc.  If you really didn't want to be woken up by your phone at 9:10 then you should have disconnected it coz it doesn't make any difference who calls you, your phone still makes the same noise.

recieved several calls from this number, 01-6064-5839 have tried emailing and my email was rejected, the company is a financial company trying to sell insurance etc etc... i am on tps but these guys still get through, contacted bt nuisance calls department and they said this crowd have an automated dialling system and the reason it hangs up is due to lack of staff answering phone. bt have a private contact number for this company and are removing my number from database so hopefully this will work.... hope this helps

Yep they call me periodically too. I've filled in no surveys so I'm wondering how they got my number. Still, bless them, they have to try and not get beaten by their employees for failing at their jobs!

The beating we can handle, It's the ignorant people that abuse US on the phones that have us suicidal. :-)

this number been ringing time n time again this morning, i have not answered the call, now i have read all this i dont think i be answering the call. i would like to know where all these companys get my number from, as i have ppl ringin loads times a day, dunno where they gettin my number from but it is very annoyin, thinking ov changing my house number

don't know who this is - they hang up - I hjave heard rumors that  they can charge you when you answer - BEWARE!!

After having them call several times and going on the info people on here have posted, I looked at their website and filled out the "remove my number" form:

Incidentally - you have to input something into the forname and surname fields, for which I put "remove" and "number" rather than my actual name. The rest of the fields don;t require anything.

I too have had many blank 'messages' on my answer machine from this number. As I live in Cheshire and was aware it was a Northwich prefix I've tried ringing back as I have relatives who live in that area! As with other people I've also found it to be permanently engaged and decided to google it, as other people have, and found myself here.

I know that people have a job to do but what really gets me is that I've been listed with the TPS for years. I'll be doing as Paul suggests above and hope it works!!!

.... I've now filled in the form as Paul suggested, but noticed that the number that's been ringing is listed on the bottom of the form as being their Fax number! :-S

there is no scam operation i have treble checked

Just had a call from this number from a young girl asking for my husband by his first name.  I told her he was not here but as his wife could I help.  She said no she would call later and I asked where she was calling from.  She said Express Direct.  We have no business with such a company so I asked here what type of business it was, cheeky minx hung up on me.  I tried calling back but got only an answerphone sounding like someone recorded the message from a very busy factory and something about them calling back later and insurance.  I couldn't understand the rest of it for the background noise.  I won't hesitate to report them to the ICO if they make a nuisance of themselves and suggest anyone else receiving such calls does the same.  Who needs it!
