had this number call 3 times today,spoke to BT they told me to phone 0870 444 3969 to get the number stopped.(its free)

This number keeps ringing me every day and puts the phone down after 4 rings. When i call it back it says the number isnt recognised. ARGH! I hate these companies!

Oh, and just to add, i am heavily pregnant so cant get to the phone in that time, so the fact that you ring and put it down while i am waddling over is NOT impressive.

And ALSO to add, i have been a cold caller before and chose to stop doing it as i felt really bad for the poor people i had to keep pestering each day!! (Before i get my head bitten off!)

hi, my girlfriend works for these? ill put a few things straight. these people do not ring before 9am. they are not allowed by law and there phones wont let them ring out. so whoever said they got a call before this time is lieing! second of all they do not get your number from ex directory. they get it from surveys that people like you lot fill in and dont realise it. just thought id put all this across. thank you

Lost count of the calls from this number, already registered for tps. Pain in the neck - answered the 1st time but they hung up - won't be answering it again they can pay to talk to the answer phone

i work for this company every 1 is slagging of as some 1 else sed we dont call before 9 its not code calling and we get the numbers from surveys there is nuthing wot so ever ilegal abowt it so u all need to get ya facts rite

ow and hello all i just thought ide let every body no that on 1 of the coments on this site it ses that 1 of the bosses has a drug addition and i have heard roomers of it to and mark i no your only trying to stick up for your company but admit it they do code call and they are pissing every 1 off and will shortly get closed dwn

i was just looking around on the net for these jumped up little [***] and i found the new number as they have apparently moved to Northwich 01606 336400 i believe that their offices are closed at this time but i will deffo be giving them a call in the morning to try and get this mess sorted out

Thats not where we call you from thou....

I would like to know who it is that keeps calling me from this number. Everytime I answer the phone the person on the other side hangs up. This has been happening several times over the past 3 days and is really frustrating as I drop everything to answer the phone only to be hung up on. I find this to be extremely rude.

To all who claim to work for the company in question or similar call centres, I understand that you get your contact numbers from surveys, but do you actually check the TPS database to see who does NOT want to be contacted?

I have reported this company to TPS 3 days ago so hopefully will hear something back from them soon. This company seems like a bunch of cowboys to me, get the hint, if i do not answer my phone to you stop ringing!!!!!!!! You are doing so illegally as I am registered on TPS. Also, ringing me at 8pm at night and at weekends (especially Sunday) is not at all professional, I have life insurance already and if I didn't I wouldnt want it from a bunch of idiots like you!!!!!!!!!!

This number has rang 3 times today each time one of my daughters answers it they ask for me I take the phone and they hang up????????????

I thought I'd look up this number to get some background info...and came across this site!..Well, I have to say I have a different perspective as I have actually communicated with this company, just yesterday.  They were happy to give me their details which have checked out.  My communication with them came after I had filled in a survey online on Wednesday night for some free samples (nothing is free...it took me ages!). In the survey (which was for ASDA) it specifically asked me if I would be interested in some financial advice re life insurance, to which I ticked the box. I guess that is why they called me, in response to me ticking a box. I think you should all make sure you haven't somehow (maybe long ago or recently) initiated the process for these people to call you, before you all go bursting a blood vessel.  I am also not listed in the directory. In response to getting them to stop, contact their main office (Northwich) and tell them to stop.  It's all about communication.

I don't let my girls answer the phone unless they recognise the number. The whole hanging up when you answer nightmare, is because these companies use automated dialling systems with thousands of residential numbers that are input (which the company have bought legally), and the system automatically dials numbers in a continuing sequence throughout the day.  When the call connects (to you) and there is no call operator/representative available to manually take over the call, then you get the silent treatment, because there is physically nobody there to handle the call.  I looked into this a while ago and found out this info from BT and it is genuine.  No one is deliberately hanging up; it is a computerised system that just does'nt have a sinple feature such as a recorded msg saying, 'we are calling from....unfortunately no one available to take your call. If you would like us to call back please press 1'...or something along those lines.  I think I've rambled long enough now! I hope this helps.

I have been getting calls from this number for several months now.  Like many of you I'm ex-directory and is therefore most annoying when contacted like this.  Also, when I 1471 and try to return the call via '3' the number is not recognised, nor can I succeed when dialling it in the regular way.

Who are these people and what do they want - their calling is very unnerving for my kids as when they answer, the call is simply hung up. Surely no responsible organisation can condone this sort of actiity?

This number is ringing me 20 times a day.if I answer they hang up and then if I let it ring the carry on ringing back all the time!
I dont know what to do and its driving me nuts.
Ive tried to call back the number and it just says its not recognised.  Ive even tried ringing from my mobile but it says its not a real number.
I dont know what to do.  Ive had to change my number only few months ago cause I got calls like this so I dont really want to do it again and also I havent given this number to anyone apart from my family.ahhhhhh.Help!!!
