when i got home i did 1471 and this number came up - i came on line and found it was financial services - who are thye and what do they want? i don't lik marketing calls of any sort what a cheek some companies have!!!!

This number called me and hung up when I answered.  I am a member of TPS and have anonymous call reject to try and disuade sales calls and I get really annoyed when companies I don't want to talk to me still insist on calling.  I don't know anyone in the area that this call came from.  Nor have I done business with any companies in that area.

My son answered the phone and a female said "Is that Susan?"  He said "No, it's her son."  Then they put the phone down.  I wonder if it's a company who phones to confirm that a phone number and name they have in their records is actually yours and then they sell the details onto other companies.

I got a call from this number and I am on the telephone preference service too.

5 times a day. never leaves a message.

I don't appreciate unsolicited calls, which is basically what these are. The arguments that 'we are only doing a job' don't justify making what amounts to numerous unwanted calls.

You might be earning a living, but by harrasing people who don't wish to receive the calls.

Lots of things can be classed as 'making a living' but doesn't mean they are morally or legally correct.

Your part time job is probably fleecing old people!

PS I have never given my phone number 2 an online survey - hence u are obviously obtaining data from other sources as well.

Strange as it may seem to you, many people will never ever ever buy anything from a cold caller. (Or warm caller, con man, very nice company, whatever you widh to call yourself).

If I wanted to buy something I would source it myself. You could tell me I had won the lottery but if it was true I would already know because I would have purchased a ticket and checked it myself......and you wouldn't know because you don't work for Camelot!

I always read the small print and am careful to ensure I tick or deselect the relevant box. I think some companies just ignore the box and resell the information regardless (yes, country holidays - this includes you).

Right, so how is it our fault if the data company sell us data that they shouldn't?  If they have marked it as OK to receive marketing calls, then obviously you're going to get phoned.  And strange as it may seem to YOU, we are probably hitting about 100 sales a day, and if you want to sort it out yourself that's fine, but that's not how everybody does it.

They are being thoroughly investigated at the minute by various places, including offcom and tps, they SHOULD be checking the tps register but to be honest they are nt using their money 2 do good things, they are using it to rent session house, just part of it, which costs an open fortune. ButI suppose if u were simon challinor and had the money he has u wud prob do the same, mandie owns like 10 % of that company now and from what i hav heard simons parents think mandies a scruff and cant wait tilsimon gets rid of her, that way hisbusiness and personal life will improve

I also  have been having numerous calls from this company (two in the space of 15 mins today).
I can appreciate that you have a job to do, but to continually phone after being told time and time again "NO THANKS", makes one see red.
I have phoned the TPS (with whom I'm registered)and they are sending me a complaints form to complete, I suggest others do the same quickly (safety in numbers and all that).

They also use other 01606 numbers and are part of AMNICO LTD.

I would not call you clowns as they make me laugh, but stooges for some parasite director of this company.  I would rather work in a shop or be a bin man/woman or anything rather than work for this company.  By the way, my bin men/women are really pleasant and helpful.

I recieved a call from the above number on the 19/08/08. No message was left but as we had been out for 3 hours we did a 1471 to check calls. We had missed this number and unaware of why a call from that no had been made( we did not recognise it) we tried to redial by both mobile and land line. Both reported that the number was unobtainable/dead.

I had numerous calls for the past 4-5 days asking for a person who does not and never has lived here. Each time I keep telling them to change their details as I do not appreciate their calls but it still continues.  Tried calling back but cant get through at all. Is there anyway to get them to stop?

I registered with the above because they promised £30 Tesco or Sainsbury's vouchers. First time I have registered with anything like this. I only did to obtain vouchers........... but I didn't even get!!

Luckily I used a pseudonymn rather than my real name. Been getting calls from 01606595892 since. 4 - 5 per day weekdays. Today they rang at 18.46 and I sppke to Anita. She said I had filled in an online survey requesting a quote for life assurance. I said I hadn't and asked her to stop calling me. I asked her to put me through to her supervisor and she hung up.

At least I can say with 100% certainty I know which company have sold my details and I also know exactly what I did and didn't fill in as I kept screen prints of everything. I will be sending to the relevant authorities to make a complaint.

i've been getting this call for days now, telling me i said i wanted life insurance, which i never did!! and i tell them to leave me alone but they wont :@

I been missing a few calls from this number but today i answered it and they asked for my partner by first name, when i said she is not in at the moment and asked if they wanted to leave a message they were quite rude and hung up on me...i reg'd with TPS last year but im not exdirectory, where did they get my partners first name from and why didnt they try to sell me something instead, i tried ringing the number back but it keeps coming up as "number not Recognised.........

I have also been geting these calls and its really pissing me off they rang about 4 times 2day 1st time was bloody scotsman 2nd time was a girl asking 4 a mrs and 3rd time they just hang up

this time when they called asking for my partner by full name and i said hold on a moment and i will just put her on the phone, to which he replied, no its ok i will call back later, i replied quickly, no i will get her on the phone for you, and i gave the phone to her, after a succession of "No, no, no thank you" she came off the phone and said that they are a life insurance company called Financial Solutions and were trying to sell her a policy but they were quite abrupt in their mannercc
