- Joanne KitchenerI was called today and offered an interview at Manchester City Centre.
- Caller: Bourbon Creations
- DaveThankyou people for all of your comments, you have saved me the hassle of travelling to manchester for an interview. I applied on thursday and had a email from them yesterday... on a sunday which is wierd! In all my jobs i've done no one has ever contacted me on a sunday! Not even going to bother ringing them but as i'm typing this they called me... instantly recognised the number so i dint even bother answering! Thanks again people and hope that your future job searches are more succesful... i certainly hope mine are! :) have a good day!
- John replies to BRIGHT EYES OF BOLTONA funny thing has just happened to me. I placed my cv on a job site and low and behold within 24 hrs get a call saying i had applied for a job and was being called for an interview in Manchester. I couldn't remember actually applying so asked the caller who couldn't tell me, as she was just a phone operator. I came home did a bit of research and low and behold people have had the same experience and then attended the interview. I definitely wont be taking this any further.
- KevinI applied for a job at Bour Bon Creations, initially I was suspicious because there was no actual job description in the job ad just some vague stuff about a range of roles available etc, but I applied anyway. I got a phone call from a Birmingham number 0121 600 7235 although the job was advertised as being based in Manchester. The woman I spoke to told me her 'Manager' had looked at my CV and was very impressed and would like me to come in for an interview the following day(yesterday) and all I would need was a copy of my CV and to dress smartly. However, I've been to other job interviews in the past that have turned out to be working for some bogus marketing firm on commission only so I asked the woman on the phone what the actual position was I had applied for, she couldn't give me a straight forward answer and just repeated what it had said on the job ad about a range of roles being available. I politely pushed for a clearer answer by saying it's difficult to prepare yourself for an interview when you are not sure of what the vacancy is, she said it would all be explained at the interview. Well, that was enough for me to know it was BS. Needless to say I did not attend the interview and from reading the long post on here about this company's practices I am glad I didn't. Phew, that was a close shave.

- Liamardo replies to KarisAvoid Bourbon creations at all costs its a joke outfit and wasted my day today and my train fare to manchester!!! Live and learn!
- KyleR replies to ForYourOwnBenefit| 1 replyCheers for the heads-up, essay guy.
I've got my first interview at 4:30 today, I'm about to ring them up to tell them to shove it. - KyleR replies to KyleRHi, Kyle again.
Fortunately, I had sense enough to research the company before my interview today.
I must have read 'Scam' at least 100 times. The company was listed under at least 3 different names, and an undercover journalist apparently wrote an article of his experience applying.
This is just a quick email to let you know that I won't be attending my interview today.
Thank you for the 'opportunity'.
^This was my email to the company. - Lucus| 1 replyI was supposed to be going for a interview today but after reading all these comments i dont think it will be worth the 2 hour jorney, So thanx for the heads up guys!
- anotheronebites replies to LucusI am so glad I checked this place out! Thank you to all for your experiences with these people, you have saved another one from making a wasted journey!!
As they say, "if it feels too good to be true, it probably is" - barryhey guys i applied for this job today and got a phone call about 2 hours afterwards(bit strange i thought) anyway it was from a company called G10 GLOBAL LIMITED based in Glasgow, i have an interview for there on Monday however im started to grow suspicious of this.
Firstly i went onto there website as i wanted to know exactly what they did, there was very little information on there, they had about them, mission statement and that was about it....
What you all think? a scam?- Caller: G10 Global limited
- thankyou replies to ForYourOwnBenefitThankyou i just recieved a responce from them asking me to call but after reading everyones comments i shall definatly not bother..
- Dont go to the interview! replies to ForYourOwnBenefitI recently went to the same interview this time the company was called bourbon creations and i thought it would be a well regarded company as it was advertised on a graduate jobs website. I went through the exact same experience as the long post and declined the job the next day. I was said that you would be finished no later than 8pm and yet didnt get home past midnight missing my train. By the time i got out of dickinson house i was in tears by the utter dissapointment and embarrassment of knowing i was still jobless and had been well and truly conned into thinking i was close to working for a successful business. The effort and enthusiasm i put into the day with the workers there and the tasks set was all for nothing, but who i really feel for are the trainees working there and the hopefuls who think they are on the road to a managers job earning over 150,000 in less than a year which is what they were telling you. A young man who we were paired up with for the day had such great potential and would be a great asset in any company was being wasted on this utter con, it was let slip that there is a high turnover of staff in this company and that didnt shock me one bit. If you want to work from 11- past 8 o clock every day knocking on 100 doors over 3 times in one day in hope of a sale purely paid by commision then this is the job for you, but i feel that no graduates that have studied hard at university and paid for fees should be in such a scam.
- legendjust to keep you updated about them... i got a call today from a lady called samantha walker who told me that i am through to the first interview stage which is tomorrow for the company called PRIMUS. however after reading this thread i think it is obvious that its best not to attend. But the one question that i have is that how can you tell if a company is legit before applying there? because if it wasnt for this thread i would have attended that interview.
- Caller: Primus
- legendoh and if it helps the number they rang me on is..... 0116 2516370
- RZI applied to Bour Bon Creations the other night, being interested in what seemed like a reasonable job - though it was rather vague. Figured I'd find out more about the company if I heard back from them. Got a call this morning, just an hour ago, arranging an interview this afternoon for a short preliminary interview. Feeling excited, I thought it'd be best if I research something about the company before I go but despite my best efforts... no clear information was to be found.
Instead I found this site where all you good people were kind enough to warn me against Bour Bon Creations and any so-called company operating out of 20 Dickinson St. Won't even bother spending the bus fare to go to City Centre!
So again, thank you all!- Caller: Bour Bon Creations Ltd
- Moi have had a telephone call today and have to attend an interview tomorrow at 2.30 dickinson house, i am so glad that i found this page or it would of been a complete waste of time and effort. The skills and expertise i have in no sense adds up to this job oppurtunity! Thanks people and good luck with your job hunt :)
