I applied to Bour Bon Creations the other night, being interested in what seemed like a reasonable job - though it was rather vague. Figured I'd find out more about the company if I heard back from them. Got a call this morning, just an hour ago, arranging an interview this afternoon for a short preliminary interview. Feeling excited, I thought it'd be best if I research something about the company before I go but despite my best efforts... no clear information was to be found.

Instead I found this site where all you good people were kind enough to warn me against Bour Bon Creations and any so-called company operating out of 20 Dickinson St. Won't even bother spending the bus fare to go to City Centre!

So again, thank you all!

i have had a telephone call today and have to attend an interview tomorrow at 2.30 dickinson house, i am so glad that i found this page or it would of been a complete waste of time and effort. The skills and expertise i have in no sense adds up to this job oppurtunity! Thanks people and good luck with your job hunt :)

its not worth it its all a scam and commission based i was about too go for an interview not going to bother now

This is the mail I got from Bourbon Creations Ltd:

Dear George ,

It was a pleasure speaking with you! Congratulations on being selected to attend a meeting with the manager on 14/10/2011 at 3:15 PM.

On arrival at our location, please advise the person on reception that you are there for an interview with  Bourbon Creations Ltd. Please make sure that your are smartly dressed and that you have a copy of your CV with you.

We are located on Dickinson St, we are number 20.

Coming from Oxford rd train station- When you come out of the station, turn left onto Oxford rd. When you get to MacDonalds turn right onto Portland st. Then take the first left, thats Dickinson St and we are the second building on the left hand side.

Coming down Portland st/ Piccadilly train/bus station- Go all the way down to the bottom of Portland st, you will pass dawsons music store and subway on the right. When you reach Billy Rock turn right down that road, thats Dickinson st and we are the second building on the left hand side.

Coming from the met- get off the met at St. Peter's square. Face towards the office blocks. There are 2 buildings the one on the left is a white building and the one on the right has closed down shops underneath it. In between those 2 buildings is a road, thats Dickinson st and we are the second building on the right.

Coming by car- Our full address is, 20 Dickinson st, manchester, M1 4LF. We are in the city the centre, the parking is pay and display outside our office.

If you do have trouble finding us then dont hesitate to call.

Because I'm not [***] I Google-ed them. Top three results were all saying it was a scam (this site being one of them).

Was pissed so called number - no answer.
Remembered the other number they sent me:  0161 228 0569
Called it - lady answered for a company called 3D lmt (shoddy)

NOW THIS IS THE FUN PART.
Pretended to be a journalist reporting on there scam operation.
Freaked her/them out completely.

So if you, like me, are pissed off call that number and do the same, or just rant (bare in mind that they might have changed there name... again)

Don' t waste your time money and effort getting there! It is a complete joke and a waste of time with no real chance of getting anywhere as they try to make out. It is just one of those crappy marketing companies that doesn't offer any job security.  I did it for a few weeks it cost me more to get there than i got paid as you do not get paid a basic salary on top of the commission. When I first started they didn t tell me that i would be doing door to door sales working outdoors 10 hours a day doing 3 laps of and knocking on about 230 doors per day. and because you are classed as 'self employed' you are not insured if you injure yourself and you have to pay for every area that they send you to,( even on the interview). Tbh i would prefer to work in Mc'ds than there. Never again will i fall for a con with any marketing company! Good luck to you all with getting proper jobs.

i have an interview with SSC marketing, london bridge. i applied only yesterday and i have already heard from them! they have a website etc but i am really suspicious here, it sounds like yet another one of the marketing scam companies that pay you on commission only.
does anyone have any experiences and advice about them?

I had an email from them this morning asking to call them, so i did and a woman answered could hardly hear her for the music playing loudly, anyway she asked if she could call me back i said ok, thought it was strange so i read your message and emailed them this:

Please Do not contact me as i believe your company is a scam.
When i called at 12:00 a lady answered, she did not sound professional with the music playing loudly in the background.  
And after further research into your company I'm glad i did not go to your "interviews" as you call it.
I just feel that your company "Primus uk ltd" is putting false hope into peoples lives and wasting there time, when they could be having a real job.

Still haven't had a reply and i don't expect to either lol. i think its disgusting that they haven't been caught. I'm not even sure there's a law against it.

I went through the same thing except after now reading this and being a little dubious about their quick make shift offices yesterday, have canceled my interview today. My interview was in the Pearl chambers building in Leeds and have learnt from a friend that he had an interview for the exact same thing in this building but for another company and turned out to be door to door sales. So although it is a Manchester number up at the top they are also using 0113 243 6925 for leeds for a range of scam companies pretending to be marketing.

Just to say thank you to everybody who have posted on this website . my son was supposed to be working their but I smelt a big dirty fat rat and googled the place

I'm so glad that I researched this place and found this website. I have work at my part time job and was willing to ring them and let them know I was coming in late so I can attend this interview. The lady I spoke to from 'Bour Bon Creations' had the audacity to ask me How much notice I need to give my current employer --- I'm so annoyed but still so relieved that I didn't waste my time going there. Thank you all for the warning!!

The number that called me this morning after yesterday's application via totaljobs was 01612001114. It's not fair that they r messing with people. I have been looking for a job for ages and as you can imagine I was quite happy to hear that I have been considered for an interview then to find out it was all a SCAM. Well this sucks!!

Wow, I had a few calls from "Bour Bon Creations" today while I was in work so I called them back with high hopes but feeling a bit suspicious. And I got all the same treatment "Congratulations! Dress smart and bring your CV. How much notice do you need to give?" But also something was mentioned about a Christmas opportunity. All from the same number and the same address. I'm supposed to go for an interview on Monday and if I had nothing better to do with my time I would go because it just sounds so outrageous that it should be seen. But I would rather spend my time looking for a real job.
They are not worth the time, the money, the efforts and the hopes of the people who are looking for a real opportunity to financially support themselves and their families.

SHAME ON THEM.

Guys add "Manchester Interactive Marketing" to this pile... Again I received a call asking me the same stuff... They're so good that they don't even realise they're calling the same person twice. I received an email and they are also operating from the same place as "Bour Bon Creations"...

Well this has just taught me that thorough research needs to be done before I even consider going in for an interview. They need to be taken down.

I've been through all of what you have put and I start the proper job today after reading this of a cuppa am going to ring them and go nutts though I got myself a job all along its a load of rubbush !

Hi there. I have just had a call from this so called recruitment company asking me to come in for an interview tomorrow at 3.30pm. After reading this very long blog i am not to sure i want to be in a situation where i am getting screwed over.

If you could please send me a copy of the article in the news papers it would be much appreciated as i would prefer to do my homework on this company before I take the time to go for interviews.

SSC Marketing is one too. Identical website and address in London to AC Generations, although the websites list them as somehwere else. Looked up the address on the registered companies list of AC Generations and its the same as the one from my email from SSC. I was wondering why their address was different to the websites.

I have had 2 calls from this number today, just agreed to go for an interveiw but after reading all this, its shocking, claiming they are BOURBON CREATIONS LTD. Applied for the job this morning and got a call straight away claiming the manager had read my cv. How do the get off jerking job seekers about? Isnt funny or clever, just puts me down even more that chances of getting a ligit job are nul!!

Thank you for your letter and the time you took to put it all together, I received a reply from Bourbon Creations, Manchester who are very similar, and I understand associated with the Primus company.After reading your report I will not be going for an interview. I would also like to add my first contact for this job came through a respected company "Total Jobs"which is disturbing as I thought they only advised applications to reputable companies--I no longer take things for granted.
