My son has received an email today and I asked him to reply quickly thinking strike while the irons hot as they say. My goodness I'm so glad I read all of this. He is already worried about getting a job after university and could do without this soul destroying c**p. he would have potentially given up a permanent salaried part time job to do this job however once he had researched the job he wouldn't have entertained it, I've looked because he is at work earning honest money. I am incensed!

    LuckilyMissed
Applied for a job with G10 Global on Monday through a website, the next day I recieved a call and email stating that my CV was good and they'd like me to come in for an interview the next day.

This was a surprise to me, recieving an interview so soon, luckily for me I had to decline due to a prior engagement. I was then offered an interview for 11am the following day at 21 Blythswood Square, glasgow. This gave me a chance to do some research on the company and what they did, I hate going into interviews not armed with all the relevant information I may need..

Long story short, my research led me to here and http://www.g10global.biz/

The website itself offers very little information in what the company actually does, though it does boast a very eclectic "press release" section and some nice photos of pretty young people laughing and smiling over computers and various diagrams.

I skipped the interview, didn't hear anything from them afterwards, and just got on with life.

I had an interview there today but it seems most of these are just opinions from people who never went.
Everyone seemed really friendly so I'm going to give them a chance :)

Like most people on this site I responded to an email sent through to me a few days ago and after an initial conversation to arrange an 'interview' thought I'd best do a bit of research into my prospective employer.

Took me 6 pages on Yahoo to reach this site (very clever with their top hit sites, dodgy linkedin profiles etc), so thank you one & all for your comments & for saving me a few precious hours. I'll spend my travel money pub having a lunch time pint instead.

Just received an email from a Bourbon Creations Ltd. Thought it appeared Logitech at first until I further looked into the email and how fague it was. Contained no name, no job details... Nothing but their contact details (01612001114 & 07833085829)  oh and also a link to a journalists press release. As I had no info on the job I felt obliged to look it up... Eventually found this site; thank god I did!!! Can't thank you all enough seriously!! It's a damn shame that some people don't do research before going into something... It's sickening that people would target these people. I am 17 and have never heard of such a scam, definitely needs to be made more aware of! Distresses me that they are vile specimens that con people, especially the desperate who would do anything for a job. Anyway, rant over, they said in the email to call or email them and if I don't in the next few days then they will call me. Cannot WAIT for them to call me so I can go absolutely mad and make them feel morally s**t about themselves! Going to make people aware of this scam that is "bourbon creations ltd."

As I have said, can't thank you all enough!! Restored my faith in humanity a little :).

i'm a bit worried now. the number that they called me were 01273447895 & 07833085829. they never asked me to sign any contract and i dont know what happened to the staff. all of them r like here for a couple of months, no ones senior or experienced. plus, the fact that they claimed how awesome their business was, the building looked absolutely horrible (maybe under construction). the salary apparently is £100 per week, but if u got more sales, it'll go up to £600 per week n u might even become a manager within a year

i think u've completely missed the point here. i dont know about the company u've applied for, but for primus, bourbon and others that r mentioned here, they LIED to u in the first place! i dont mind 100% commission based, but if they lie to you, how can i trust them? working for charities, international business, become a manager within 10 months...... u dont even need to sign a contract, wtf? on top of that, they r cruel to the staff, no benefits, no base salary, harsh working environment and insane working hours. i might as well start me own business! u c what i'm trying to say here? or r u actually one of them...?! ye, i think so  >:(

Those who are saying the companies are scams don't listen to them cause they have nevered properly worked in offices,

The companies are not scams, but some of the workers there are horrible and use abusive languages, this happened to me. basically there are some rude misbehaving people there, and it's not good, it's even worse when it's the manager behaves like that on a one-2-one, but acts all nice to you around others.

The companies are scams if they are dishonest, give false information, and have a manager who messes around with their workers, and use abusive language to them

    Hi All,

Long post, but I too fell for this and like many of you I've done a little digging after my experience. (I am also posting this wherever I can so apologies if you see this twice)

First of all, legally and technically these companies ARE NOT A SCAM. However annoyed you are at them, they never lied to you. But in the words of Buzz Lightyear, their skill is 'omitting certain truths'.

Legal loopholes and tight small print mean that these companies don't even need to tell you that the work is door to door until you actually start. In most cases, people wont have figured it out until the last few training days.

When you are employed, you are self employed, and you are put to work with a group of people bordering on delusional from the cult like atmosphere so rigorously kept up by the director. These people's social lives have eroded to nothing and their attitudes are warped to only care about money and work. The director has created robots, and despite the massive turnover having these few people is worth his while. If 1 in 1000 becomes a robot, interview 10,000 people to get yourself 10. And when the others finally leave they are either bitched about horribly or shut out from existence, i was told several times not to mention the names of people who had left.

The job itself is miserable, ridiculous hours and false promises. You will return home in pain at almost midnight, and on days where you sell nothing (far more common than they'll have you believe) the experience is a killer.

So who could be behind all this? Well for paramount force, the man is John Johnson.

While digging into my old workplace, finding John was a real needle in a haystack scenario. I sent letters, emails, phoned the company, but no interview. It was sheer luck that I tracked down an old email on my g mail giving his number.

Far from the fire spitting evil thugs the directors have been portrayed in this post, Johnson is eloquent, funny, softly spoken and very intelligent. He was always polite and very quick to answer during our interview. No matter what I asked, he never got riled up, but his answers always seemed prepared, like he has had to do this before?
I only stumped him once. I simply asked 'So is money the be all and end all of work?'
The answer for any person with a shred of ethical conscience is 'no of course not, its a journey and a life experience and money is second to those things'
But Johnson went quiet for a few seconds before muttering weakly, 'to some people, yes.'

Johnson is clearly intelligent, and clearly well educated, and therefore I have a seriously hard time believing he started at ground level. But what is more vile than the misleading information he gives is probably how calm he is. How little anything but money means to him. That includes you, potential worker! Why doesn't he worry about his colossal turnover? Because very simply, John Johnson doesn't care.

So before you go beyond interview stage, ask yourself. Is this the man I want to work for? Do I really want to abandon my friends and morals? Remeber John Johnson isnt the only one. He is Ali Mir, he is Brett Heyes, Alex Pinker and Adam Allen. As ever its your choice, and as ever he will continue to use his acumen not for an ethical business but as a weapon against desperate people. His company is a reflection of him. Does he sound like your ideal boss?

Think before you accept this role

tina(the real one not the troll)
hey guys and ladies! i just want you guys to know that some TROLL has been going around writing under my name Tina, signing up with my details, she/he even took my facebook account, now the acount florentina isla i can't even sign on to, so i got another one, and so so, and spreading false romours everywhere, the Tina that wrote here is not really me, its just a Troll so please ignore her funny comments. and as far as i'm concerned I did work for primus Uk ltd like... 2 years ago. as far as the word scam....NO COMMENTS! i did NOT leave because i thought it was a scam, i left because i wasn't doing very well, i was farrrrrrrrrrrrr tooo shy and timid to work in that place and constantly had panic attacks so i was told to leave, and i agreed simply cause i was very very very shy. but i was accused of being a fake, by my mentor, my manager agreed with her, but i have no bad feelings towards him at all, i wasn't fake just terribly shy.

But... my manager was actually good, he wasn't bad like the troll is making him look like, although i found my mentor to be rude at most times.

if some girls claiming to be called TINA  writes here again bad mouthing people PLEASE REPORT HER or HIM! its just a troll!
